Nice! I guess we chalk it down to inexperience until he learns to lie about what an honour it is to be asked to manage this great club etc.
Hi SaxBend, Welcome creator of the OBZ you tube sensation, he who walks barefoot!!! I am one of the people who you walked to Wembley with in May, our paths also crossed at WestHam this year, and I follow you on twitter Welcome to our board
Or "a club like QPR" would do. I'm not naive enough to think every manager researches our history and finds something specific to QPR to get him excited as soon as he takes over, but I do think it's reasonable to want him to see us as an individual club. The bigging up of the league itself instead if the club he's managing is something I find really offputting.
Hi Beth. Are you Chris's girlfriend whom I met outside Loftus Road before walking to Wembley or have I got you mixed up with someone else? I'll be doing it all again soon, on a other Bobby Moore fund walk, touring all the London Premier League grounds, from West Ham to QPR and back via Tottenham, Arsenal, Palace and the other place soon.
No not Chris's girlfriend....far too old ( anyway who is Chris and don't tell my hubbie). No we just walked together for a couple of miles at the start, you were mainly talking to a silver haired guy (who I knew through Flyer) You won't remember me I am sure...but of course I remember you
Oh ok. Silver haired. Doesn't rule out many! Could have been Joe Hylton. I'm not sure whom else I spoke to whose name I know at the start of the walk. It's all a bit of a blur with most of my memory of that day being allocated to the replaying of the goal over and over and over again. But yes, remember me or not, I'm pretty easy to spot, so do come and say hello if you do (that applies to anyone so inclined).
