Like I've said in the past, would be very happy if we bought Ings, but only if it's for a low amount. Any more than £6-7m and we're going to regret it.
Ings would be an ok squad addition - I don't see him progressing to become anything more than that tbh. Would leave us next season with Sturridge, Origi (who I do think can push on) and Ings - assuming we're trying to flog Balotelli and Borini. Lambert might stick around another season as 4th pick. So we need a top striker still.
Reports today suggested it would be a record high tribunal fee of around £6.5m. Out of interest, how are tribunal fees worked out? Surely it's not someone at the FA coming up with a random figure
I assume an estimate of how much profit the player could have made for the club over so many years is made.
I was thinking it would be based on their financial investment over the years plus compensation that is somehow linked to their wages as well as how many appearances and international caps etc they may have.
Both teams write down a figure and who ever is closest to what the FA believe is his true value wins It's based on the price is right
Hmm, lots of talk that Spurs have an agreement in place to sign Ings in the summer. Still think Greezman would be a better fit for you lot though
