I would go with this plus Bergkamp. Not because they were the "best players", but because they had a certain style and flair to their game. More "best entertainers" than players.
If Zola was such genius then why did he never play for a top Champions League club? Nor did any try to sign him. Zola was nothing more than a an above average sized fish in a small pond his whole career. He was never a world class footballer who was the main man for his country and 2 of Europes biggest teams, like RVN was, Zola was a flop for his country, and he was forced to leave Serie A because he couldnt get in Parma's side, as a certain Carlo Ancelotti didn't rate him. He preferred Crespo, Stoichkov and Chiesa to him. If you genuinely believe that Zola was even in the same class as RVN then you are completely delusional. If RVN was Italian he'd of been the main man for them, the same as he was for Holland, Man Utd and Real Madrid. That was more to do with a falling out between Fergie and RVN. This is why Real Madrid a massive club where happy to buy him, as he wasn't dropped from SAFs side because his ability was in decline, it was for other reasons. Zola was snapped up by a mid table premier league team, where as RVN was bought by the Spanish giants. This clearly proves the massive gulf in quality between the 2 players
