Mick will drain him of all his flair and then he will rot in the under 21s.

A tad cynical i know but Micks track record with signing wingers is not very inspiring!! Henshall and Stewart have hardly been succesfull!!
 
I think when getting young players in it can be hit and miss ....the jury is out on Henshall, Stewart has had an unlucky start here with injury ...but you also has the great success of Mings............

...I actually quite like the fact that MM is willing to look at young players from lower league or inferior leagues.
 
I do kinda think spanish does have a point on this, Henshall and Stewart have not had a look in, I know Stewart has been a tad unlucky with injuries but there have occasions he could have been given a start this season each time MM has gone with the older heads....cmon MM give youth a chance!

Hoppers, i do think a lot of it has to do with Mick trying to accomodate his favourites.
 
2 signings in January, 2 Attacking players, who'd have thought it. I think it shows, despite our grumbling Mick is aware we need new options in attack. How/If we use Dylan obviously remains to be seen but it's pleasing to have another option on the wing. Maybe, just maybe, this signals the end of Tabb on the wing.

I don't think you can have a go at Mick for not giving youth a chance hoppers. he has stood by Ty when others were slating him, he brought Bish in from nowhere, he has repeatedly bigged up Clarke at the back, he gave Hewitt a chance at the start of the season. That is all basically within the past 12 months. I really don't know how many more young players you expect in the side.

We seem to have trouble with wingers and injuries.
Who was the last consistently good player to play out wide.....Walters???
