I'm not sure. Sherwood has always been considered a good coach (prior to his stint as manager) as Nigel is too. Sometimes a gobshite like Sherwood is better suited to gobshites as players.

Nigel would certainly better in the long run if they want to start again (including relegation), but I'm not sure that is what they want.

This is not me saying Sherwood is a better manager than Nigel, just different horses for different courses.
 
Suprise suprise.... it still amazes me how he manages to walk out of jobs leaving teams in **** and everyone still thinks he's a brilliant manager..
