Let me start with 2 statements from me..

1. I'm from a time when things differed and I accept that, pre PC and bra burning.

2. I dont think I'm sexist, racist or any other ist.

I agree Gray was wrong in his put down of the lineswoman, a lady who I thought did a good job at our place, and I could see how he embarrassed the woman with the mike thing. I also would like this to be about the sacking not do we like Andy Gray but I just think sacking him is way OTT, a good bolliking and maybe suspend him for a few weeks. Sacking him, never in my opinion.

What do you think, especially the ladies view point because this old guy is always willing to learn.

He also fouled Steve Sherwood when scoring in the 84 cup final where the Orns were "robbed"(ahem!)

Guys, is it me but I cannot open most forums on here?

I got into this one by double right clicking on General Chat but no joy in C`hip,etc.

Are the links not active or am I being dumb? (or both?)

I only mansage to get in here sometimes ny clicking on a thread but its hit & miss- Simply cannot open forums 9 times out of 10-advice please!
 
Meant to say that Gray talks about the OFFSIDE RULE-it is the OFFSIDE LAW

We should RESPECT the official who got it spot on,and who may well be a right goer!

Respect for female officials will increase if makeup & sexy uniforms are introduced.

When they get a decision right they should whip off their tops and run to the crowd.
 
I think a lot is down to him suing the NOTW.
Murdoch would be the last man to have someone like that on his payroll at Sky.
Plus the fact that apparently the Sky studio staff dislike Gray and Keys, so I guess it was easy to orchestrate an exit for Gray.
That may smack of conspiracy theory but I think it is highly probable TBH
 
end of the day its a disgrace, he is entitled to an opinion whether its on mic or not, if they want to see sexism, they want to watch an hour of loose women, dear me

He wasn't sacked because of the comments about the assistant referee - it was because he waved his todger at his co host (blonde lass on Sky Sports) and asked her to "tuck this in for me".
 
no he didnt, thats a load of cobblers, he made a sexist comment about the female lineswoman, was suspended for monday nights game, then footage emerged of him askin charlotte jackson to tuck his mic into his trousers, nothing to do with his todger, why make that up ???

I saw something small that wasn't working and I jumped to conclusions... easy mistake if you see the video... glad we have an expert on making things up to help me though big-chris.

If you really think Murdoch wanted him out and hadn`acted before this,or that he concerns himself with such trivia then I assume you come from a galaxy far,far away.

Gray has shown himself to be ignorant and CRASS. He has given the P C brigade easy points to score.

Not surprised he was binned-don`t care either way.

Dear me, indeed-that you watch such stuff.

I once saw a trailer for it and assumed that it was for menopausal female dole scum who have all day free.

What Gray said was stupid and he was made to look a fool. It should have been left at that. Because of the furore that has been raised Sian Massey has been shocked and embarrassed and consequently been withdrawn from her next match.

There are many injustices in our society that warrant our attention a lot more than this. It's just an easy thing for the white, liberal, guilt-ridden, middle classes to prattle about in between sipping their claret. Sky have given in to their opinion.

I agree with you, I know its easy to say how out of touch we are, things have moved on, we have electricity now. I like to think I'm modern and know roght from wrong, its wrong to look down on a woman because she is a woman but why is it wrong to open a door for her.
 
........the sad thing is that the issues are always negative, noboby highlights the positive! Had Gray and Keys been talking about the correct decisions the female linesperson had made would that have been aired. Or wondering why the fairer sex should want to perform in front of 50,000 folks and be humiliated everyweek, well Mr Ashley? Sorry, who needs women!!:emoticon-0106-cryin

So the powers that be have decided to withdraw HER, would they have done the same if it was a HIM?
They are just promoting the stereotype that the little woman wouldn't cope.
 
Well he shouldn't have been sacked in my opinion, god you should hear some of the thing's that i say at work, i say them to people who i know will take them as a joke like but it all depend's on his relationship with the lass i suppose.

I'm glad he has been sacked though cos he does my tit's in, i hope his replacament is some one i like, if it's that Adrian Chiles bloke i will honestly punch my own face in
