To be fair, he runs a lot (Brendan likes that) and he jiggles a lot with the ball at his feet. If they could teach him to shoot or even make the right pass he could be a decent footballer for them
A bit like Sterling: flattering to deceive and made to look better by the Rat. And even he is trying to leave a sinking ship...
Truth be told, I have wondered about the Coutinho thing.... He is a decent player I guess, but nothing really special at all. Yet they really rate him at Anfield like he is some world class player, to be fair I haven't seen him play too many times (2-3 times maybe if you dont count highlights on MOTD) but I have never really seen much of anything about him that has wowed me. Saying that though, right now, he would probably get a place in United's midfield
Hes gash and Rafael would get in our midfield ahead of coutinho. A few months ago the scousers were saying the same.
That's nonsense. Some may have vented frustration at his inconsistency but he seems to have solved that problem and has been performing brilliantly lately. Bod, you are right in what you are saying people tend to judge on MOTD highlights and you simply don't get a true picture of how a player performs, however he was very good in both semi-finals against you lot but I would forgive you for not noticing as in tense games like that fans tend to focus on their own teams and not really notice the opposition.
Reading back the comments on here about him are funny, even if you don't really rate him he's pretty far from crap.
No its not. Earlier this season he was being slated. dependin on his last game hes either world class or should be sold. No middle ground.
Only caught the second leg of the Semi final, and you are right, I probably wasn't watching him too hard to be honest, All in all though, I feel the same about Herrera. Some United fans rave about how great he is and I will admit I just haven't seen it....but again, I haven't watched him too many times live (ie at a game or a live game on Sky).
Didn't see any of that and certainly have never thought of him in that way, he's been a solid performer for us since signing but in the odd game he would go missing, as I said though that seems to have been rectified he seems fitter, strongers and more consistent, he's holding off and turning players twice his size and the opposition don't know how to deal with him.
I think Herrera is a good player and that he should start more for Utd, tbf he may have been playing lately as I haven't really watched them for a while.
He is a good player, but Van Gaal would rather play Roon in midfield and play Tia Maria up front despite paying Falcao £300k a week
The amount of jizzing the RS are doing on the board on hearing of his contract does prove that they are seriously deluded. He is average at best.
There is method in the madness ( I hope). If I am not mistaken, he has tried every player in almost every position. Except De Gea playing as striker. He has put ADM and Rooney in every position. He has tried Fellaini as DM, CM and striker. He has even got Jones to take corners FFS. And yesterday he baffled everyone (me included) by his formation and playing long balls (for a large part of the match). But as a United arse licking RS said yesterday he did it because he knew it would work against Cambridge He is trying every player and looking at their strengths and weaknesses and at the end of it all United will have a world beating team The Dutch are famous for total footbal afterall
He's better than average, but I must admit to laughing when I read the "Wurrrrld Class" comments. He's a good player but needs to show some consistency before I'd put him as anywhere near top drawer.
I think Coutinho is a good player and occasionally shows flashes of brilliance. He's a bit of a luxury though as he categorically refuses to defend.
Like they said that markovic, mankovic or whatever "vic" and Can were all world class. Like Brenda was world class too for ...coming second #Toecurlingdelusion
