Could someone explain to me why every single thread seems to degenerate into name-calling these days? For crying out loud people, chill! We should be able to have reasoned arguments without getting personal. This board is getting as bad as the bad days of 606, and it's all between Saints fans, for goodness sake!

I thought I made a valid point stating that 3-10 miles would still be "within" the city of Southampton. I didn't realise it would turn into a full scale war. Sorry for any offense caused. Can we get back to the football please.

I live in Belfast and it costs around £200 to get to a match and to stay over before spending money lol. It isn't ideal but sure....

You're in Belfast? I'm up in Ballymena :) I was born in Southampton, and my dad still lives there, so that's how I got into supporting Saints. My dad didn't even support them either. I haven't been over in a couple of years though...

And I put overseas, as we are literally over the other side of the Irish Sea... <laugh>

Do you get to many games? That's a hell of a journey.

My dad lived just outside Southampton so any time I was visitting him, he'd take me and my brother to a Saints game if they were playing at home while we were there....which they usually were <laugh>I usually got to about a game a season since 2003, sometimes we got to a couple though. I haven't been since we beat MK Dons 3-1 a couple of seasons ago though. I hope to get to more next season though, as I'll be heading off to Uni, hopefully in Loughborough.

You're younger than I thought considering all the wrinkles on your face<laugh> Good luck, hope you get to a University close enough to follow Saints.

If there are any folks in NYC I wouldn't mind meeting up to watch a match this season. That'd be fun.

Nah I think not My Brother coming over from Brisbane or my other one from Sydney beats that about 12498 miles I believe. Although saying that what about the guy from Melbourne, Whats his name, "Rain cloud" or some such. Would he have to travel further?
