Yeah that like wtf, should have got what Cantona got for doing that to a fan. Evans is a bit of a scumbag though, he did Holden proper too.

    Even Fergie hated him <laugh>

No doubt it was a terrible decision by the ref but it was hilarious to watch Drogba do his electrocuted act. For such a great player who was clearly stronger than most defenders he came up against he was a complete tart!

It was one of the worst fouls in the game, not in damage to the opponent but in what he did, if Cantona can do that and get banned for a year Evans should have seen a pretty long ban (Drogba never touched him) plus that would be classed as an exceptional case seeing as Evans did what he did so the FA should have taken action even if the ref seen it, ala ben Thatcher who eventually served a 13 game ban, a club ban and an FA ban combined.

Flying kicks.. there is just no justifying them, though many a manc tried to tell me Evans was "protecting himself" <laugh>

How could it be anything else mate, that was 100% an exceptional case where the FA should have stepped in even if the ref seen it.

Evans should have got a 3 year ban and Drogba should have got a Golden Raspberry. Suarez should have been knighted and Stevie the Slipmeister should have got an honorary PL winner's medal.

Oh definitely. Back then though it was a tough job to get a decision against them. Better now Slur Alex has gone.

True, if Evans did that today he'd be on the receiving end of a huge ban

Sorry I thought when you started comparing the Evans / Drogba incident to Cantona kicking a fan that we were just coming up with nonsensical, hypothetical outcomes. Clearly I misunderstood and you were actually just venting more outrage. My apologies. I blame the BBC.

Strangely with football, you can commit GBH on the pitch right in front of coppers and nothing happens, Thatcher should have been arrested on the spot for what he did and so should Cantona have been too

Just more proof they work for the corporations and such

If you bit someone in the street on three occasions you'd most likely end up in prison. If you did it on a football pitch you'd be lauded as a hero by a group of frustrated Norwegians, Irish and Cockneys. Funny old game.

By the way, Cantona was arrested and tried in a court. Just filling in the gaps for you pal!

Players literally intimidate refs in Spain, Costa has squared up to several r
If you did a tyson yes, if you did a Suarez no. That statement alone makes you an idiot mate. You clowns always say "bite". It wasn't a bite, a bite is the bottom and top of the jaw closing on something, he dug his top teeth into Ivanovic's arm but never even pierced the skin, or even scraped it, same at the WC against Italy.

Was he arrested? I stand corrected though I bet the palace supporter pressed charges.

Cantona was arrested and sentenced to two weeks in prison which was reduced to community service.

The fact that you're trying to claim Suarez didn't bite Ivanovic is truly hilarious. I bet you have a Suarez duvet cover!

On top of that, Cantona jumped into the crowd. There could have been a real public order problem.
