Stop thinking that every transfer is supposed to be one that wins us the League/CL. If we have identified that a promising young player is available for a fraction of his market value and we have a manager who is great a developing young players then it's a no ****ing brainer. The fact that he would stay at Burnley means it's obviously not about immediately improving our striking situation but you don't say **** everything cancel the stadium development the club can't take one more step until we're banging them in. That's exactly what we did with Can. He's also homegrown and we're about to lose a ****load of those.
