You are missing the point Guru, everyone moans about Grabban missing chances, most have at one stage or another declared an interest in Rhodes! Look at the chart, which of them misses the most chances?
Roughly translated, both of them score once in eight chances. Gray seems best with a one in five ratio, while Jerome is a one in six performer.
What constitutes a 'big chance' though?
You could pick holes in this article until the cows come home, but I see what you are getting at. 2 of your strikers have missed a catalogue of chances and Grabban in particular has missed more howlers than he's scored

Whereas former Townie Jordan Rhodes, who brings nothing to the team other than goals, misses more than any!

But.. as the saying goes, "you've got to be there to miss them" I'd be more interested if the table showed number of 'big'(?) chances per game etc. as you can always guarantee the likes of Rhodes, Bent etc. will find themselves in the box with half a yard of space and be quickest to the ball

I see Jerome & Chris Martin have scored more goals than chances missed. Do you think it could be something to do with either being a current or former Norwich City striker that they score more chances than they miss, where as Rhodes who is an ex-1p5wich striker misses more chances than he scores?
Nope, not the best team player. I see Grabban's stats are pretty damning. Who'd have thought it? Jerome fairs little better and has missed plenty of sitters but at least offers more to the team, though I actually think his performances on the whole have been quite poor. Half the story of our season I suppose. Bad defending, bad finishing.
Without looking at any statistics I would guess Jerome has set up more goals than Grabban and has made more defensive clearances and possibly also has a higher rate of pass completion amongst other things.
I don't think Jerome's stats are that bad - as pointed out above, he and Martin have both scored more big chances than they've missed. That means, on the whole, that they've simply been involved with a huge number of chances (if you add together goals and big chances missed, Jerome is in and around the same as all the guys above him in that list, but in fewer games and minutes than most of them).
Agree with your assessment of his season though. Very up and down, like us.
Surely missing chances also means they're getting into positions in the first place?
Grabban has missed 3/4 of the "big chances" Rhodes has in 2/3 of the mins so actually it is safe to say he HAS been worse by this measure. Of course, something this subjective is a bit silly anyway.
