I see Mike Ashley has got his hands on Rangers. Sports Direct have loaned Rangers 10m. As part of the deal Ashley gets security over the Scottish Championship club's Murray Park training ground, registered trademarks and other properties. Poor Rangers.

The SFA were making a fuss about Ashley having influence in both Rangers and Newcastle. I don't understand why...they aren't in the same league, though theoretically one day they could be in the same European competitions.

Stop laughing at the back.

why the poor Rangers? Over the last few years they have been owned by various alleged crooks who have stripped the hell out of that club financially. It got so bad that someone I know refused to renew their season ticket last season because they were asked to turn up and pay with cash!!

Mike Ashley may be seen as the laughing stock at Newcastle because he sells good players at big profits, but they are on a good financial footing (I believe). Right now, Ashley may be the best thing for Rangers; you never know.

Poor Rangers as in why didn't the board accept the take over? Instead of just a loan. The other guy wanted to buy them out right but guessing the board didn't want to lose their wages. A loan of 10m is only putting a plaster on the wound. But Ashley gets so much from it.

oh ok, sorry. I thought you were saying Poor Rangers as Ashley edges more and more control. I mentioned before that I see him eventually taking over and seeing Rangers as a larger fan base for his business interests and leaving Newcastle behind.

Reports coming out of Spain that scans have revealed an ACL tear in Bojan's left knee.

Could be out for up to 9 months.

Ouch and a shame for both Stoke and him. I was impressed Stoke went for someone like him and he looked a hell of a player. Speedy recovery I hope.
