We tried our best, we just ain't very good

We played well against the league leaders and have played well consistently for a number of games now. We are good, maybe not good enough at the moment but imo too many silly reactions tonight, when we play like crap I understand the critics but should we really be getting at the players or the manager after 2 very good performances against Chelsea?

I'm proud of our efforts and I'm glad that the manager is proving me wrong at the moment.

If you mean the latter then I completely disagree. Chelsea played better today but had about 2 clear cut chances tonight, we also had 3. Compared to the last game when we should have won about 4-1.

You were the better team at yours but tbf you didnt win at home regardless of your chances created and they got the away goal. Tonight they may not have had shots on target but they created goalscoring opportunities over and over again. So overall yeh I think they did deserve it. Hazard was different class I thought.

And who signed Lovren? Who signed Balloteli and Lambert when we needed a proven goal scorer. Who left us relying on an injury prone striker? Who failed to replace Suarez with a quality player? Who insists on playing Gerrard when he clearly cant perform for 120 mins? Who slagged off our number one goalkeeper who incidently he signed, dropped him " indefinitely" in favour of a crap number two only to reinstate him after two games due to injury. Shall I carry on? Thats the reason people moan about Rodgers.

so so simple now we're out to all blame BR. We went 210 minutes toe to toe with these ****s who are running awaywith the title.

henderson doesn't ****ing miss an open goal from 7 yards and we have a coin toss for the final.

He lost Sakho to injury and had to bring on one of Johnson/Lovren yet still gets criticised for bringing one on.

Can't believe the criticism. We played really well first leg and more than held our own tonight. We ran out of legs at the end but let's remember we have lost 2 of the best three strikers in the league. How do you expect us to cope.
BR s signings are questionable but Can ,Moreno and markovich are all looking good now. Ok ballo and Lambert are ****e and very poor signings but don't remember too many complaining on here when we signed them.
I would love us to sign a striker this window but who would come at this time?
I'm pleased with the performance if not the result
However, saying all that, why leave lucas on but take Moreno off...makes no sense.

It's his signings that he's at fault for and the reason sterling is being used as a make shift striker because our other 3 are completely toss. Plus he's renewing johnson's ****ing contract!

Good game to watch but the quality of football from both sides was bang average with the exception of Hazard (motm performance).

Overall chelsea were the better team and deserved to go through but Costa and Willian were mediocre and made it a harder game than it needed to be.

I think that`s the worst game i have seen Matic play all season!

I thought Chelsea was really ordinary. All this early season air of invincibility around them is gone. I do not think they are the best team in the premiership.

We were better than them for large parts of the match and we had the better chances during the early stages. If we had taken even half of our clear cut chances, we'd have won.

Too much ranting on here. Well done to the lads from me good effort it's a real shame that it wasn't quite enough but I don't want to read the crap being leveled at the players and manager at the moment.

At the start of the year no. He tried by signing players but they've not worked.

However over the last 15 games yes. Lots of more cleans and a lot more solid. Keeping a clean sheet against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge... never would have happened last year or at the start of this year.

He'd adapted his tactics to make us more solid at the back, good management if you ask me

If the ref does his job, Costa gets a red after 10 minutes and we have 80 minutes against 10 men to score a goal.
I'd fancy those odds...

Costa adds nothing to their defence, they would have just shut up shop and gone through on away goals.

Based on the last 11 games it looks like it, Chelsea has about 4 shots on target over 2 legs and 30 minutes.

You lot need to realise where we are - we are not on par with chelsea ffs , yet BR still got us above them last year

Alright buddy. Brendan is amazing. We've conceded more goals than in any other PL season, we are using a 19 year old winger as our main striker because he failed to buy an actual goalscorer, since we ALL knew Sturridge would be injured because he always is. I could go on forever.
