I get your trying to mock Football Manager but that isn't how its done on Football Manager at all, this years development of youth has been slowed down hugely and the development of youngsters takes far longer than it used to.

Actually I was knocking those football fans that think that just because a player is 30 or over they should be avoided like the plague, as if their ability just evaporates. If we were targeting two players from abroad that we knew nothing about, and one was 18 and one was 32, evevrybody would be knocking the latter and being concerned about his age, even if that player was technically more gifted and gave more to the team.

I think it's a deep rooted desire to have a player with a massive sell on value, which I suppose places blame with footballing computer games, where players get satisfaction from finding 'gems' and selling them on for loads of money. Players are judged by fans long before they sign and that's a massive error on their part.

Villa, palace, qpr in three way tussle for Montenegro midfielder
Vladimir Jovovic. The lads only 20, he's an attacking midfielder

I'll say it again - we aren't signing anybody in this window.
The players we have inquired about to loan don't wish to come here.
There is still hope for a loan-in striker but time is running out.

The two 'strikers' from Caen that we are supposed to be scouting are nowhere near this level and are '1 in 10' strikers. Geez!

Erm. Oxymoronic much?

If all goes to plan, we're getting a forward in by Friday, according to my source in the club. It's taken ages because we've had to jiggle money around. Although he reads these boards and if he finds out I've posted it (there isn't anybody else as far as I'm aware who knows him), he won't tell me anything again. So I'm not giving names, but don't panic just yet. If it falls through I'll let you know. And if he's told me this and it turns out to be a rouse to stop me pestering him with texts, then I'll give you all his email address and you can all hound him.

Sorry Sterling, I should have put the loan players we have ALREADY inquired about to loan don't wish to come.
But, as I understand, we are still inquiring about ANOTHER loan-in striker.
Looking forward to your friends e-mail address so I can pepper him with with photo's of me drinking coldies whilst barbecuing in my back yard.
