My dad was very good mates with John Entwistle in the early sixties before they were big. My old man used to hang out with them and Roady for a few years.

My old man told me that even when they started out the instruments would get smashed up as part of the act. My dad being a roady for them used to keep hold of the broken guitars. Again it was early days and they did not have much money. Anyway the story is John asked my old man for his fret board back a they had a gig and he could not afford a new bass, needed to repair the old one.

Just imagine how much that would be worth in an auction now if he still had this in the loft!

The funny thing is even now if I talk to me dad about this he still complains that John never gave him back £20 the he lent him all those years back!

Then enjoy this me old mate... a guitar legend performing with legends ... enjoy!
