How could you argue Brentford weren't 'anything special'? They were absolutely outstanding and well done to them (although we were definitely ****, I can't argue with that).

Secondly, yes Whittaker is not a central midfielder, but who else would you play there? Neil had no other options. Those who cheered Whittaker's substitution should be ashamed of themselves.

Spot on Hucks - Brentford were as good as we were bad - they are certainly the best team to play at CR this season and in Dallas and Pritchard two of the best individual players I've seen all season too.

They were organised, well-drilled, zippy, passed to feet (and to their own players), were first to every loose ball and basically wanted to win - they were everything we were not.

Well done Bees - you were excellent today.

I
Whittaker will no doubt be the scape-goat yet again, but he was no worse than the others. This was a pathetic performance by players who either don't understand or don't agree with what the manager wants them to do. Brentford were organised, we weren't; Brentford played fluent passes to move the ball into the danger area, we didn't; Brentford broke with precision, we just broke. I could go on, but there seems little point. Forget about promotion folks.

Brentford have had time to develop.

Despite the fact we were awful I don't think we would have lost if O'Neil or Tettey had been fit.

How Whittaker survived as long as he did on the pitch before being substituted I'll never know. When Wes was coming on I thought he should have taken Whittaker off then and not Hooper because we would have had Hooper still on the pitch (hopefully) instead of Grabban and he would have probably slammed his chance into the net past the Brentford keeper to equalise and get us a point unlike Grabban who fluffed his chance when all he had to was just beat the keeper.

God, Grabban's miss. I'd forgotten about that! I might try and forget about the rest of the match ;)

I really don't think Whittaker was as bad as some are making out. Yes he was at fault for the goal (though a lot happened after he gave it away) but actually he passed the ball quite well. It's not his position though and he shouldn't be playing there. I hate square pegs in round holes solutions. The last manager did it, I don't want AN doing it too

Why is Guru listening to Canary Call? We were more direct today and it was a poor performance all round. We were outplayed for 90 minutes. But we need to be more direct because the tippy tappy nonsense was absolutely dire. All about balance. The balance wasn't right today.

Im having a lovely weekend away in your lovely county, happened to catch it on the radio.

By all accounts the crowd really wasn't happy, fancy that a championship side standing up to the mighty norwich city!

Of course the crowd was unhappy! We were outplayed at home by a side who were two leagues below us 8 months ago!! Some of our fans behaviour today, and indeed over the past two years though has been unacceptable. At times it was embarrassing again today. Our board like to tell us we have 'the best fans in the land' but nothing could be further from the truth. We're more of a hindrance most of the time.

To be fair at least the Barclay tried to get things going in the second half today. It is tough to drum up a good atmosphere when the football has been so lacklustre for so long.
