I'm giving a little of the proverbial rope. I fully expect things to go tits up from here on out and be saved from relegation by the "attitude" of the players. You know the Board is never going to admit a **** up by selling Bony in mid-season. Monk is not Sousa, and if I were to align with history I would say that Gomis is a lot like Pintado but without the same savage .... I don't see Gomis going after anybody the way Pintado went after our favorite son at Derby.
A few expected things to go tits up in July and look what's happened since
Seriously Valley you need to pay attention to the Monkster ... has he lost you already .... we've had good attitude on the part of the players. But the most important player was moved out. Bony is gone. Now the heavy lifting starts for Monk and a huge upgrade in attitude is required from the players.

One player dont make a team whatever you may think, All we do is what we always do and move on, It has not effected us before so why should it now. Monk is got everything in hand and has the full backing from the players and the board and there has been nothing but praise from his peers. We are so lucky to have someone like monk who has done a fantastic job and like the board and players i have full confidence that he will continue to do a good job for many years to come...

Long term memory is a problem I see. This is a Scotland scenario. Our only hope at this point is that Gomis recalibrates his attitude, licks whatever wounds his agent keeps telling him he has, and starts producing a lot closer to Bony than Pintado / Beattie / Kuqi.

Tbh Yankee, I believe that if Monk thought Gomis wasn't capable of leading the line for the rest of the season we would have sold him this week and brought someone else in. Bony needed 8-9 games this season to get up to speed. We should allow Gomis another 5-6 games before we start doubting his ability.

Time will tell with gomis but he must knuckle down and do his job that many admirers know he can do. we have yet seen the very best from gomis if what is known by others. He is on a high wage 4 year deal and guaranteed first team football if he preforms. there is no better job out there to make a name in the premiership than what has presented itself now bony has moved on. Monk will give him his biggest chance ever and now its all up to him. He wont score every game and i dont expect him to but his performance must improve as we have only seen glimpses of what he can do so far.... and if what i have read about him are true then he is a very good striker..

It's not waiting and hoping at all. It's looking at what's transpired and considering the possibilities ahead. If Monk can't organize the team and get Gomis to produce we're ALL going to suffer the consequences. There's a deja vu element to this.

No one is waiting fro Monk to foul up - for the sake of the Swans we are waiting for him to start getting things right - doesn't mean we have like him though.
