I see the beeb reporting that Blackpool are to recieve £2.3mil compo for Tom Ince from Hull, are we due any of that? I remember reading we were due 30 or 40% of any transfer fee but maybe that doesn't stand for compo

Norwegian wonderkid Martin Odegaard has agreed to join Real Madrid for about 3m euros.

Apparently going to go into Madrid's B team before trying to break into the 1st team.

Could very easily go either way... Madrid aren't known for bringing through 16 year olds... but if the kid is as good as he's made out to be, he'll make it.


Him and his dad are huge Liverpool fans and we were obviously interested.... if we had Suarez and Gerrard was going to be here next year and we were still in the CL then reckon we'd have had a much greater chance of signing him, especially when you points to the age f our team and how likely he'll be to get first team football. Shame...
 
what do you ant us to do? he's gone to every bloody big club in europe and taken the spanish gold. best of luck i'd say but i can see him being a 2mil buy in about 3 years time for someone.

I don't beleive for a moment that having x or y player would make a damned bit of difference. he went to Bayern.. they are awesome at bring lads on and are utterly dominant. He went to ilaty, to utd, even to southampton.... i do not get why we think jsut cos his dad supports LFC that a decision on where to go would be based in any way on that.

Our academy has recently had some small success bring kids onto the first team in terms at least of headline grabbing debuts in cups for young lads but if you were presented as a father Luv with the choice. Real madrid and oodles of dosh or bayern or LFC or Utd who would you choose?

Personally If i were this hot i'd have gone bayern meself.

what i'd say is that blackpool need it far more than we so best of luck to them for chasing it.

Ince and his horrible father have ****ed themselves up imo.... instead of focusing on the job they got caught up in the fast track. Ince should have stayed at mk dons longer first time round and ince's son should've like others (suso) been happy to get a contract off lfc and be part of the team... move too fast too young and you end up nowhere

Partly agree but I'd say he should have stayed at Blackpool longer. I think he was right to move on from us.

I'd expect us to convince the lad that we are the right club to come to, to convince him that we will take his development seriously and give him opportunities on the pitch if he deserves them. I'd expect us to compete financially with any club at this level as paying a huge prospest enough to compete with Real isn't beyond us, it's not like he's on mega cash.

it was right for us, i think his reasons to go there were weak.

we had ibe and sterling coming and wanted to shift lads. amoo, silva and ince were all moved ince should have moved up if anything had he given the club loyalty. He was never that good but he was decent.

toni Silva went to barnsley but thankfully after a nothing career he moved to CSKA sofia where he is playing football.

Amoo is now 23 and has bounced round the clubs and is at carlisle where he's done "ok" for a guy who was such a powerful runner at youth level he never got his head up and never needed to cos he was the biggest and most powerful

Ince did well at blackpool but ****ed them over for that loan to palace and then on to hull who threw him off to forest on loan. he's now back at hull and i bet even with thier issues he won't come in. I see another out of contract move at end of next year in his future.


All in all LFC moved them all on for sterling and ibe and sterling came through. i think we were better served personally.

We've moved on coady and spearing etc for just maybe rossiter to come through but i dunno...

I'm sure we did... but if real are more attractive they are more attractive. I'm sure utd and bayern did the same!
