I'm sorry lad, but I spoke to your reporter mate and he told me Rodgers is out come the summer.
I disagree - we were heavily interested in Mo Salah. We were in discussions before the window was even open. Then we continued to 'monitor' until Chelsea swooped in.

we were after him for 2 months peior to window opening.
the first chelsea rumour i say was dec 1. that meant lfc shoudl have been tipped off to the possibiltiy he as being approached
we spent 2 weeks negotiating to get him for 11mil when cheslea swanned in offered 13 and the player agreed terms instantly... in other words he was well tapped up prior to us even starting negotiations.
cheslea bought him... and are out to sell him on for a profit. (not inc. wages) he has bascially turned his back on a team going for cl in the cl slots with suarez etc, almost assured of a first team slot easy and he turned it down fr chelsea's bench and money.
now he looks to be off somewhere else a year later so for me his career might sink and we got off lucky here.... I'm glad we didn't get him.

those are not only bargains but all very good players and better than what we have and added TOGETHER would cost less than one lallana.

Now have in mind Gerrard and Johnson will not be around after the season ends. They need replacing even before we buy elsewhere.
We have a forward line that needs replacing even before touching anywhere else. Lambert Ballotelli and Borini will not help us push for Europe/League in the long term. The difference between our position and those above us is fine margins. The chances Balotelli missed against Everton and Hull were enough to put us on a 4 point swing.
I'd rather use Johnson's wages to try and lure Lacazzette than bring in say Fabian Schar (don't we have 100 defenders out on loan). Use Gerrard's wages to get a top midfielder in the summer to compete with Coutinho in the creativity department. That alone IMO would improve us

What he actually said back then was that he wouldn't be getting any extra money, but that was always the case and nothing to do with performance which is now, touch wood, improving regularly.
Lacazette would cost £25m and can't afford that.
I was looking at bargain signings who also quality.
We need a replacement for Skrtel who can play RCB or in the middle of the three. Sell Skrtel, Kolo and Coates. Simple.
Shaqiri is a luxury player but I rather he was playing for us and allow Ibe to develop on loan.
I agree we need a striker but Lacazette would be too expensive at this moment in time.
We have Manquillo who is better than Johnson.
I would like us to buy a proper DM - Lars Bender, Kondogbia, Carvalho would be my picks but again, they would cost £15m plus and I'm not sure we have enough money.

don't care about transfers cos i reckon he'll say nothing doing... but i'd love to know if he's heard if anyone is to be fired shortly. I heard at least 2 heads to roll in committee
I just had a thought. Suso's career for us was a lot like Coutinho's at Inter. Highly hyped at 17/18, loaned out, does prety well on loan, but has no place left when he returns. Moves on at 21.
