Stadium Expansion

I agree with the above unless there is a large price reduction. What we charge now is way way over the top for a place like swansea and elsewhere. I wont pay on principle and i can afford it and fan basis everywhere are dwindling especially in the lower leagues.

I am not sure we would fill the ground if extended for most of our games. Maybe the big 4 or 5 and that is it.

One benefit of spare capacity is people, who may not be supporters (now) know they can get a seat if they decide to go on the off chance. For our area the other option is Cardiff where there is a good chance of seeing a match if you try getting a ticket on the day.

We're losing an awful lot of walking "trade" , if they can't get in then they'll do other things , how many families are down the stadium now quite a few but when those now accompanied by their parents want to spread their wings how are they ever to get to see a game , the kids are the future and you never forget your first game.
Surely it's better to get them now while the opposition is of a decent standard .How many groups of kids do you see down the stadium ,very few if at all ,compare that to before we were promoted to the PL and more so down the Vetch .
If Cardiff ever got back up then they have the capacity to accommodate the at the moment floating "fans " living between us and them .admittedly at what cost it'll been to CCFC I don't know but I'm sure the Board won't go down that avenue of foreign investors coming into the Club (or would they ).

What is this based on ? All our tickets sell out don't they ?

If there are others like me, I no longer even bother looking for tickets because it seems pointless. I'm sure I'm not the only one, and if it was widely known that there's a good chance of getting a ticket for a match, more fans would turn up. I don't think that because 18,000 ish turn up every week that that's the total number of fans who want to see a match.

I don't care who we are playing, I'd love to be able to get in the stadium. I think that we'd easily cope with another 4 or 5 thousand on our capacity.
If there are tickets left on the day - I think that's a great scenario for any fan to still get to see a match. A season ticket is not a viable option for all fans. I don't have a season ticket because I was living in Australia when we got promoted to the PL, which now means it's very difficult to get one.

Because we only just sell out for some games now. I am regularly getting emails from the club regarding available tickets and when have had family over from away have never had a problem getting a ticket apart from big games or the likes of boxing days. The clamour to get any ticket is not what it was when we first went up. Obviously it is just an opinion based on my efforts to get extra tickets.

I don't bother trying to go to home games as they very rarely get to General Sale. I now just go to away games and the un popular ones as you can more or less get these tickets.

Your not on your own Never! same for many thousands of Jacks since Wembley free for all...........<ok>

I don't think the council are really in a position to say no while they are cutting budgets all around and the Swans offering cash. Just need to get one partner for a majority. Don't think the Ospreys would be keen though.

It's started doing the rounds that we are negotiating with the council to buy the Liberty outright.
Change of name on the way?
