We've had an incredible run of bad luck...injuries, refs decisions, stupid mistakes. As we showed in the first half today, even with no real strikers, we can compete. The Aston Villa, QPR, Sunderland spell will be critical. When fit we have the players to stay up.
Well what we paid for Aluko is exactly what he's worth, so move him on with Sagbo, and if he doesn't extract his digit Huddlestone as well, and get someone in that can do their jobs, as they all have been **** this season
I would have said that we we're going down earlier, but SB has been working hard on the training pitch - regarding our passing... I was very impressed at our ball retention. there are 3 worse teams than us... we will finish 17th. I predict the 3 that came up, to go straight back down.
Hope ya' right Patty, not so confident myself. Give it 2 more weeks our injury list will be that deep, we will be playing our U/18's in the starting 11
I heard that Steve Bruce was back in training and will don a Hull City shirt next game. Mr Allam himself has volunteered for the Goalkeepers job as he can stop everything. We HAVE to have the greatest injury list in the history of the game. please log in to view this image
I'll support Hull City whether we're in the premier league or league 2 - makes no bones to me as they're the team I've always supported... As for the question posed, I see us going down unfortunately. We have long term injuries to really important players - we cannot score when we're on top of teams and we're leaking goals far too easily when we're under the pump If there is one player who we need back now it is Diame - he is a class apart and can potentially save us!!
Hope I'm wrong but I think we'll go down. This run has been most of the season now. We're really good at losing, even when we play well. A new striker or two, as well as some players back fit, might save us, but I can't see us staying up without one.
This is a very interesting thread. I was ridiculed when I predicted relegation before a ball was kicked and then again several of us were when we had the 'we look the worst team' thread. Which we undoubtedly do.
We will stay up, once we get our players back from injury I and make a couple of signings we will be fine, however we will be in the scrap until the end of the season, without a doubt. I predicted all the results in the Premier League for the rest of the season, here is the table: Our wins come against: Aston Villa, Sunderland (We never get beat by Sunderland), Leicester City and Burnley. Then we will get a point on the last day of the season against Manchester United.
Our injured (key) players are going to miss our winnable games, I think we will be relegated. We can't complain at the fixtures as everyone plays everyone else home and away, with our run in we should be quite a way clear of our rivals by April and I just don't see it.
Hope you're right mate. Out of interest, what were your predictions for the following 3 games ? May 16th Man Utd vs Arsenal Sunderland vs Leicester May 24th Leicester vs QPR
I do think it will rely on Bruce's business this transfer, I wish he would hurry up as leaving it late is making me nervous. I don't think we'll finish any higher than 17th, if we do stay up I think it will be very tight.
