We are done for. We need major investment but sadly the mental old goat will not free up any substantial funds.
Need some new blood in the next couple of weeks and a win against the Toon who may have a new manager by then andthe added boost that brings, plus they don't play next week either.
Currently I must say I think its more than 50/50 that we will get relegated. Every other team at the bottom has more going for them up front than we do, and that's even if we get Jelavic fit, which I would have thought is questionable (would be surprised if he comes back and plays consistently for rest of season). However, there's a long way to go, and a couple of lucky breaks could make all the difference. The crowd could really help - Palace home support must be worth several points to them , for example.
Depends on new players, when we get some the injured back playing and getting no more long term injuries. we're not cut adrift at the bottom of the table and still plenty of games to play
We clearly need to bring one or two strikers and a creative midfield player but just as important is getting some of our injured players back and some luck with injuries. I voted "No", we have been in tighter corners than this and won through.
Yes, we've been woeful on far too many occasions for me to think anything different. We've also got another ****storm to be kicked up by the crackpot owner to look forward to next month when the FA tell him NO again. That should help steady the ship.
We have to be safe by April realistically. Just not going to happen. I predict we'll languish in and around the bottom three until going on a bit of a run pulling us out a bit, giving us a touch of confidence, then getting **** all from that horrendous run in and getting relegated on the last day.
You said they were ****ter than us though , if you are basing your optimism on that maybe you need to think again
With the injuries mounting up I think we really need to sign someone who hopefully can strengthen the team in this transfer window. I dont think we will be playing at this level next season if we dont.
We are 4 points out of 12th place, with 16 games left to play FFS. 48 points to play for. We've had a very bad run, and a number of crucial injuries. We only need 1 team out of the 6 teams immediately above us to have similar fortunes, with a slight improvement on our recent form pattern and we'll make it. It's that tight. Have faith. It's not like we're cast into the wilderness just yet.
A draw today would have lifted us out of the drop zone, and I think our better days are still ahead this season. We're staying up!
I do fear that if we go down some of the fickle plastic bastards will either a) quit supporting or b) commit hari kari. Also the name change would be completely ****ed beyond recognition. Actually, looking back, why is that something to fear? Relegation wouldn't be too bad at all.
