Looks like he's spent most of the last few years eating. Good to see him back though, he always was a true pro.
I read he left Eastleigh (or didn't take the job on) becasue he had gone to Aldershot. That was only a couple of weeks back. Agree, he'll be good for kids/parents. Franny should get his coaching badges done.
I thought Franny had a coaching role a few years back and it didn't work out? I heard he may have been a little too hard on a few of them. I really like the idea of having (certain) ex players come back as coaches. I've always liked how Liverpool had a tradition of promoting coaches/managers from within.
Benali is always mugging Cortese off to anyone who will listen. He has the Gravy train mentaity that Cortese has banshed. Cortese appointment of Jason Dodd demonstrates he has no problem with ex Saints pro's playing a useful part in the new structure. Anyone here for a free ride or not buying into the club ethos can jog on.
And that's fair enough from Cortese. It has to be of benefit to the club. I just find it a shame when the fall outs with ex-players happen. Not blaming the club, or the player as I never know who says what really, and I know life isn't all Blue Sky, but it's a shame. It was good to see Lawrie Mac and Matt Le Tiss at the players awards do though.
You would think like us all former players whoever they are would just be pleased that Cortese talked Markus into investing and saving our great club and not only that taking us back in the right direction Ex players like it no are now fans like the rest of us and should only be concerned about the welfare of the club.Good luck to Willo he will do agood job
