I'd like us to go for Charlie Mulgrew, he's been impressive every time i've seen Celtic. Izaguirre i'd obviously prefer but he's probably going to go to a bigger team. Also what about Fabio on loan, unless United are going to use him a lot this season.

Yeah they have champions league. The league standard is pretty much SPL but the top teams are better that Rangers/Celtic. Jose only seems to be bothering about champions league and getting in the Spanish set up. The portuguese league is obviously fairly big in Spain so it would suit him on both fronts!!!

I used to be interested in Portuguese league a few years back, stopped looking for the results now though, cheers for the heads up <ok>

Baines is a great player. But so confident am I that there is not a chance in hell that we will get him this summer that i'm tempted to pledge to joing the genital mutilation squad if he does.

Mulgrew has played Centre Half all season for Celtic. Oh, and he's PISH!!!

Mulgrew is not good enough. He played a fair bit at CB for Celtic last season but isn't that good.
 
Hmm just to answer one theory, about benfica buying jose enrique, i highly doubt it.
We dont tend to spend alot of money unless we really need to, we prefer to buy unknown players from argetina or brazil, or from other portuguese clubs for decently cheap then sell them for high profits. for example.
Fabio coentrao cost as nowt but we sold him for 27m
Di maria cost us 6m i think sold for 25m+2 players.
Ramieres cost us 6m sold for 18m.

So i dont think we'll spend big.


oh and also fabio is a right back by nature as hes right footed and its where he plays best, but he plays left back quite often as he's better than his brother at it and they've played for the same club their whole life, so it makes sense.
