No he isn't. Agree that he doesn't suit our style of play but what else can we do? He still struggles in an advanced position. He was once the best individual player - but he has regressed in all aspects, Coutinho, Sterling, Sturridge are our best individuals.
I guess it depends what you mean by best. Coutinho and Sterling are far too inconsistent and Sturridge is too injury prone. Gerrard is consistent and hardly ever injured. As far as all round game goes, no one in the squad is better than Gerrard. IMO, Gerrrad is still the best individual which is more to do with our poor squad than Gerrards ability.
Gerrard is consistent in being average and detrimental to this team. Gerrard's all round game - he's poor defensively, wastes possession, cannot press, and only seems to get involved when no one presses him - put one man on him in area of the pitch and he's anonymous. Sterling and Coutinho have all contributed more than him, and are technically better than at this moment in time.
No idea what you're laughing at as he will be. He's way better than the pair of them, a fact proven by his PL goal stats, playing in an inferior side.
There are a few players who HAVE to be starting most games: Sakho Can Moreno Manquillo (he won't get the chance to for whatever reason) Hendo Lucas Sterling Coutinho Sturridge Gerrard is nowhere near this list.
I had done, he'll be second choice behind Aguero imo. I also don't think Pelligrini will part with Jovetic as he seems to rate him ahead of Dzeko. If anyone leaves it'll be him, but not until the summer.
Fair enough. I don't think Bony would play much if every was fit. TBF, you saying he is second choice could still see the same thing since they usually play one up top with Silva, Nasri or Toure just behind. And I was laughing because they was saying there is no question about it when clearly it is debateable.
I think Bony will fit into City's side perfectly, he holds the ball up well, lays it off nicely, is great in the air, and can finish from anywhere in and around the box. He's not the quickest, but City have bags of pace in other areas and play most of their games on the front foot anyway. He'll prove to be great addition.
Bony is surprisingly quick - he doesnt have the acceleration but he can build up some pace. He's quite versatile in that he can suit different styles. But I'm not convinced he will be starting many matches. He is certainly ahead of Jovetic and Dzeko.
So Suso is confirmed to leave this month. We've been in discussions with Lille over Origi but no agreement reached.
