Le Flop would not have been in the position Soldado was in.

Even if he had, he wouldn't have even got the ball onto the bar, he'd have taken 3 touches and them fallen over.

I'll bet you any money you like that ALF will start against Norwich as part of a 4-4-2 probably alongside Revell if Kenwyne is still feeling that hip problem.

Slade will insist his workrate deserves a place in the team and that seems to appeal to him more than the fact the guy is totally out out of touch in front of goal. I've said loads of times on here this past 4 months that ALF will come good and start finding the net and I still think that.

However, it clearly isn't happening for him and he has no place in anything other than a 4-4-2 set up that Slade should have abandoned before now as being the wrong system to fit the players we have. We've more influential players to occupy a place behind a loan striker, so for all ALF's efforts, it's time Slade threw in the towel on him for now.

How many more times does it have to be said on here? Five in midfield supporting a lone striker must be the way to go particularly for a game like Norwich away, otherwise they'll run all over us.

I anticipate groaning yet again when I hear the team selection at 5 to 3 on Saturday, and Le Fumble's name is announced.

Two up front is so 2008 football. 4-3 -2-1 works quite well or 3-5-1-1
