Everton bought really badly and injuries haven't been kind to them.

Basic looks ok, Barry is past and was foolish to even sign him this season, Eto'o has done next to nothing and Lukaku hasn't been anywhere near his form of last year. Add that to a struggling Barkley, an ageing defence and a goalkeeper still in a day dream about his World Cup and it's been a poor season.

But credit to Martinez for trying to play decent football, Allardyce said he's not flexible enough, I'd rather a manager stick to his favoured style than lose a couple a games and **** it to resort back to long ball.

But as of now this season is a write off for them.

Bought badly? What?

We got one of the bargains of the summer in Besic for his buyout clause of £4m. Took a 1 in 2 PL striker @ 21 for a record fee yes, but he'll prove his worth as he's quality and still very young. We could get 4 years out him and we'll still get our money back.

Barry was fantastic last season and was well worth a permanent deal. He's had a ropey patch post his recent injury, but calling him a foolish signing is pure folly.

Eto'o was free ffs and a World renowned star, and despite being a bit part player, he's scored more than your entire strikeforce btw <doh>

The only flop has been the loan signing of Atsu.

Barry and Eto'o are short term fixes, which is fine if you're just waiting for the Barkley money to come in before you buy proper players

You should have got a CB though

Barry cost nothing in transfer fees....same with Eto'o.

Besic looks like a bargain and Rom skkeps hitting the net....his injury troubles look behind him now<ok>

Eto'o could be going so we would have more transfer pot to invest in defence. I fancy that Byram at Leeds will be a target as he offers cover at RB(which we lack) and also can play RWB and RM

But they take the place of someone else who could be settling in and last you more than 6 months.

Funny that, as Eto'o has hardly started and Barry is a shoe in while McCarthy is out<ok>

I like how Mario and Lambert have stopped Borini getting a game [HASHTAG]#freeBorini[/HASHTAG]

Barry was another 'stand still' purchase :)
