Awwww, bless the 4th division lads sticking together, that's cute <whistle>

Greeny, I know, how terrible of us to be enjoying our 7 points from Chelsea, Arsenal & United <doh> We've had our fair share of **** over the years too ya know, quite rightly we are enjoying ourselves this year, espescially after the **** we got in the Summer saying we'd lost our ambition (<laugh>) and everyone tipping us to go down. You're right, we won't finish in the top 4. But Europa League is a very realistic target and we're also on course for our best ever finish in the PL era as well. You'd think fellow smaller clubs would like to see an unfancied side upset the status quo, doing it the right way, apparently not.

Clearly not had enough over the years to have learnt a little bit of humility have you and it was the same when you weren't in the higher reaches of the premier league or rich man's brothel as I like to call it. If you were a tad more pleasant about things then perhaps others might give some credit. As I was pointing out to the Portsmouth persons, we are lucky down here we don't have a chavvy neighbour flaunting their bling. We're all crap and we know we are and nobody can surprise us by telling us so. Ergo no hurt feelings or ego to get easily bruised.

You are lucky! Until a couple of years ago, we had to put up with all kinds of c**p.<laugh>

Still, at least they were worthy enemies.....unlike your area!

See what I mean about the whore tag? Easy aren't they....

By the way it's Man U that nobody likes and you have about another 25 to 30 years to succeed year on year before you can claim that one. Oh hang on........are you bigger or smaller than them?

Not really sure what you're trying to achieve here, and you obviously know no Saints fan think we're a big club.

Also, you're going a bit off topic here, this thread is about our impending relegation <ok> <diva>

    Good grief, such arrogance. Un-bloody-believable.

That's total BS considering you're still being bankrolled with Leibherr money, it's just a different Leibherr.

Plus, I was unaware that the war was taking place in 1950, clearly my school should be put into special measures by Ofsted as I was taught it ended in 1945, a whole 5 years previous.

Also, you guys sang a very different tune about Matt Le Tissier when had had the audacity to criticise Nic Cortse

Oh PL this is just like your love life thread on the Saints board, you are desperate to find something lol sad really. I have doubts wether you are actually a pompey fan as you really need to read up on Facts about your club before during and after the war. BS is just how I read your comments.

Yes we are being bankrolled up to a point by the Leibherrs, although they are trying to run the club as a business, hence not blowing all the transfer money and Sky money we received in the summer, or as SB3 and Mike Clown put it, the fat bird filling her lederhosen pockets.
Better that way than relying on the taxpayers to bail out the club after years of unmanagable overspending.

Fortunately you stand in a very small minority of football fans and as you have a obvious dislke of Southampton FC you have to come on the Portsmouth board to find likes and some support for your feelings. Post this and previous comments on all football clubs sites and see what responses you get. I have lived in Devon for twenty years and have lots of Plymouth and strangly Exeter fans as friends and fortunately none share your views about us but I was amazed how much rivalry their is between there fans, and as being a Saints fan I cheer on all the South West teams which brings a raised eye brow or two lol

Lets not let fact get in the way of a reply Saint shall we. Firstly you know a few Plymouth and Exeter fans not a lot of them and secondly none of the ones you know have any comment to make regarding Southampton but that does not mean there aren't any does there. There is rivalry between some Exeter and Plymouth supporters but by no means all as is the case in any area. Most people are far too grown up to actually hate the nearest opposition. Historically there haven't been years of competition between the two as a lot of the time they have not been in the same divisions.

I don't hate Southampton. I dislike sets of supporters who are so far up their own rear end that they believe their own hype. Bigger or smaller seems to me to be a theme with them and they do get so uptight with that aspect. Currently Southampton as a club are doing well. Paid for by a rich man rather than effort however. Exciting times I'm sure but not an excuse to rubbish other clubs. I read your board when you were beaten by Sheffield. Disappointment is one thing but disrespect is another altogether. How can such a big club be beat by this minnow? That was the drift of the comments. Not long ago the billy big bollox was the other way around and the history of the clubs says different also. But you've made it into the top league now so balls to history or respect. Your colleagues seem to do this often in my experience. Excuse me for noticing and thinking you deserve to be brought down a peg or two. To hear your lot talk you would think you have been the top dog forever and it is your right. The comment previously which I ignored about "leave the premiership talk to those who have been there" says it all really doesn't it.

I might point out that you are on another clubs board just as much as I am here. I read lots of comments on lots of boards because I have no mates and don't get out much. This forum set up allows anyone to read any board they want to and people are free to comment if they wish. I don't have to come on here to get any "kicks" and if I wanted to read about a top club I would pick another other than your's. I have read Southampton's board once after the Sheffield match and didn't comment on there so it kind of disproves your theory. Were you posting from work or do you really stay up into the early hours as your post time suggests?

Have to say in my experience very few fans on our Board are disrespectful of other clubs. We have a bit of banter with SB3 on here but the majority of Saints fans on our Board know very well where we have come from and are just hugely enjoying the ride!

Haha you do make me laugh Greeny, so I only know a very few Plymouth fans do i, I would take a very good guess that a dam lot more than you do, especially as you said you have no friends lol. My Boxer dog came from Plymouth and still growls at some of my Exeter friends lol. You will find all clubs on these boatds especially those with a large following on them have slightly delusional fans but then that's to be expected. As far as Plymouth and Exeter rivalry being not much due to playing in different leagues is defiantly not true ( that's a fact ) the same as my Portsmouth friends team playing in different leagues in the 40 odd years I have followed the Saints. I don't get the hatred part but I do love the banter parts and especially when your teams on top.

Yeah, dismiss anything you don't agree with, even if it's true, as BS. Great one.

As for the comment on the war, you would do well to remember that Pompey had been runners up in the FA Cup twice during the late 20s and early 30s, I suppose that was due to the war as well? Even if the first was whole 10 years before the war. Furthermore, both of Pompey's league wins came not immediately after the war, but the first was a whole two seasons after the war.... So the impact might not be as great as you claim, otherwise why wouldn't they have won the season following Bit hypocritical, trying to bellitle and dismiss the achievements of other clubs, yet when someone claims that Southampton only got into the Premier League because they were bankrolled (which is a fact), you dismiss it as BS.
