It may work.. but they don't really score without bony.. gamble but they've done enough to stay up this season.

Sigthorsson would be as weird one. He's not rated at Ajax and many fans prefere Milik, but he's very good for the Icelandic national team.
I think some of you are mixed up with Alfred Finnbogason, Sociedad striker who joined them from Heerenveen (I think). He's been injured a bit but he's been OK when he's played for Real, and he was very good during the first half of last season in the eridevise. He's a bit more well rounded than Pelle.

Indeed. Even once everyone is back, having five CBs doesn't hurt if we're going to deploy the 3-5-2.
We have 5. Alderweireld, Fonte,Yoshida, Gardos, McCarthy. Depending how long Toby is out for I would get a loan in.

Depends really, if Koeman is ready to give McCarthy a chance we the time comes. If not, then we need someone, at least short term.
Gets on the subs bench and has come on as sub twice? I would say we are slowly bringing him into the first team squad.
We have two missing and the other is a kid who also happens to be our backup option at RB, as well. Getting another in even if we have to open the pocketbook seems rational to me; with the 3-5-2 proving quite useful, the extra depth wouldn't be wasted.
Related: is there still a limit of four concurrent long-term loans? Can't remember, and we're at three right now.
That's why I said maybe a loan if Toby is out for a few weeks. No point bringing in some one that will just stop youth like McCarthy getting his chance even if it is sitting on the bench. McCarthy plays cb mostly for the youth having started of as a rb. He plays better at cb, so in the summer I would like us to get another rb (maybe two if Clyne goes).
We are still very much looking at Byram.
