I cant do match threads but as nobody has done one then here is a place to discuss the West ham game...

We need to win this and i think we can even though it will be a close game....2-1 swans Gomis, Dyer to be on target..

Height is our major problem against teams like west ham, We need to keep the ball on the floor and watch our discipline in our half to stop set pieces and corners. Carroll will be our main problem and if we can nullify him we have enough to win...

Andy Carroll is fit and expected to play - I hope Monk will issue our players with face guards to counter flailing elbows.

Carroll will play but not exactly fit , missed the game against Everton after freakishly stomping his foot in training , then went home and cut his pinky badly making a sandwhich ...lol. Also , Shako is out with back problems
Fab
Tiendalli , Fern , Williams , Taylor
Dyer , Siggy , Britton , Routledge
Emnes
Gomis

If Britton and Carroll start , I have to tell you how fantastic a swan fan you are.
If Britton and Emnes start , ......God help you.

With Mike Dean reffing, Aladyce particularly wanting to get another one over us after transfer comments this week, without Bony's heading in defence, Ki away and Chico's ability to wind up the hooligan Carroll I am quite jittery about tomorrow.

Don't see Britton and Carroll both starting - they're too small to combat West Ham in front of the defence. Will be interesting to see what Monk comes up with for this game.

We know Carroll and West Ham will score , if we can keep him down to a dull roar then maybe with aggressive play we'll put in more .

What Britton and Carroll can do is keep the ball away from West Ham. I know it would be popular and it wan't happen but I'd also play Jazz Richards with as those three pass more accurately than any others, Jazz also competes in the air more than Angel. Tiendalli also needs to be available as I think Taylor is looking at a couple of yellows.

Tomorrow is keep ball and bore them into submission - score late.

Jazz .....Fed .........Ash........Taylor
....Britton ..... Siggy ...... Carroll
............Dyer ............Emnes
.....................Gomis

Gerry, Tiendalli, Rangel, Routledge, Bartley, Amat, Oliveira,

From the club website:
Amat - 6' 1"
Williams 5' 11"
Bartley - 6' 4"
Fernandez - 6' 3"

I would play Bartley and Fernandez at the back for this game.

Or how about 3 central defenders (Amat, Bartley, Fernandez) in a 5-4-1 formation.
