Koeman says he has been offered a new contract. But it is up to Cork if he signs it. At least this news will shut up Cork's dad from moaning.

Now his Dad can moan about the size of the contract. I suppose Cork must also wonder how much game time he will get as we have signed another midfielder. I think he's a great player to bring on and even start in some games, but perhaps he'd play more for another team.

I don't care whether he's underrated, overrated or whatever rating. Jack has a special place in Saints folklore. He was playing well here for half a season before the Liebherr era, and although he didn't spend any time with us in League One, he came back in the Championship season and stayed. To my mind that gives him an honorary status, second only to the league one squad, of which there are only a few left now. He's a very good and effective player who will make the most of his playing career by being at Saints. He may play more games for a club like Hull City or Sunderland, but he won't have kept that something that is special about him, and he won't have any chance to play in any European games either. Stay Jack..!

Thought I read on here someone posted that he has ongoing problems with his ankles that will mean he will always be struggling with fitness. Good to see him training again

I've heard the same stories about Jack's ankles, but having said that I heard similar tales about Sir Rickie's cronic back problems and he sailed through a medical at Liverampton?
 
I can see a sneaky little bid coming in from Palace for our Jack.
Just the type of player they need, AP knows him and could get him on the cheap due to his contract, From Jacks point of view he would be playing every week and first name on the team sheet
Get him signed up Saints
