I agree with Munky that this is a big risk, but like others I feel it is necessary if we are to push on for promotion. McNally stated that the list of candidates the press came up with was split very evenly and that the likelihood was that any of those 'obvious choices' would have been likely to have the support of about 15% of the fan base. At the moment, Neil has received 82% support in the Pink'un's live poll. Like Munky, I feel that much of that is emotional given how quickly this has been resolved. Yes, it's a calculated gamble, but 'business as usual' wasn't going to move things on this season. I also agree with Munky that people have underestimated what Neil Adams managed to do in turning around the relegation hangover, manage transfers in and out and keep us in the promotion picture when so many previous PL teams are failing miserably. That at least has given the new manager a shot at promotion.
Wasn't meant as an endorsement of Warnock just surprised me how inexperienced AN is... ..not a dig you could either applaud Norwich for giving a youngster a chance or complain that they haven't shelled out for a more proven man...that's for You lot to worry about.
I wouldn't call 7 Promotions at 12 clubs a failure but I guess we shouldn't let the facts get in the way of a good story!
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! not wiki!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sorry Guru, you have misunderstood. It is not I who disbelieved you, it is my fellow Norwich City fans. Up until you had admitted that you were wumming all along, I have been wholeheartedly convinced of your honesty and integrity. And you must understand that the bits that they need evidence for are your malicious and spurious accusations. Not wikipedia stats. Though admittedly JWM struggles with those (evidence - his belief that Ipswich's latest home game drew a larger crowd than Norwich's ever has). See - that's the sort of evidence they need. Now if you would be so kind as to provide all that has been requested, we would be very grateful. You are normally a good man, I'm sure. It's just without the evidence you come across as an unpleasant, whiny, bullsh1tting little troll, who cannot take a joke, is incapable of admitting fault and brings the atmosphere down. But I have no doubt that is a false representation of course and actually you are the angel you assert.
Everyone else: If this is getting annoying and ruining your experience of not606, please send me a message and I will stop responding. I appreciate that the troll has now ruined this thread and my incitement of him has encouraged this rage, so I am happy to draw a line under it if that's what people will prefer. Otherwise, I will continue torturing him - it's easy because he is thick. Best Rob
I love 50's reference to Hinge and Bracket, now we just need to decide which one is unhinged and which one deserves a punch up the bracket! One thing's for sure, this has got them worried, they just can't tear themselves away!
Everything you say is rational, but maybe it's not the time to be rational. I think the 82% approval rate for Neil's appointment may be because everyone wanted a new start after Hughton and we were denied that because the people who the board appointed already had some kind of relationship with City and the 'new' manager was part of the existing set-up at Carrow Road. There was a psychological need to put everything behind us, and we couldn't. Now we have our new start. It may be a false dawn or it may be Lambert Mark 2, but at least it's a fresh beginning. At least that's how I feel. The future starts now.
And the irony is that their team is handsomely placed in the auto promotion slots as we speak - and yet rather than wallow in the glory that should come with that 'once every maybe two decades' euphoria, thay prefer to take cheap shots at the way our CEO conducts his affairs regarding NCFC. Pitifully sad pair of t@ssers
James Mcarthur @jamesmcarthur16 Buzzing for Alex Neil getting the @NorwichCityFC job. Sure he will go there and do really well.
We were never after Celtic's manager (which is a shame but true). But hey, don't let facts get in the way!
He's done a great job with Hamilton Accies with virtually no budget... He likes to plays passing attacking football. Ok, you don't rate Scottish Football but if he gets respect from the players I think he'll do a good job for Norwich.
Interesting to read that he sticks almost religiously to a 4-1-4-1 formation, with attacking wide players. Probably good news for the likes of Jerome, Redmond and Johnson.
