Given the choice between the Galaxy and the RS Stevie chose the americans.

To rub salt into the wound, he said his choice was based on his wanting to win trophies. <whistle>

You can't blame him, can you?

He's really proving his hardcore Liverpool fan status. I don't recall Scholes, Giggs, Neville or even Carragher running off to the MLS when they were told they wouldn't be a guaranteed pick each week. Gerrard as a player was always all about Gerrard, the rest of the team were there to support him.

There are a few Dippers who have suddenly become experts on the MLS. Unsurprisingly it's the usual suspects who consider themselves to be experts on every subject but are in fact clueless!

They're lecturing about the quality and style of play in the MLS. When challenged by an American they dismissed him as a bitter Manc. As I said, they're clueless.

That's interesting, I don't know a lot about it but I imagine the quality is below PL standards. Style of play though surely would differ team to team. Footy is getting bigger and bigger in the US and they are certainly getting better at the game.

The MLS is a poor division, a good league 1 side would easily dominate out there. Anyone telling you otherwise is delusional.

Each team generally has a few ageing world stars, but the rest are complete dross.

Gerrard has gone out there, because he's gonna get a lot of money, and it should be fairly easy for him to finally win a domestic title, seeing as he is playing for the Man United of America

unless you were an MLS expert how would you know? Are you?

And they might have to pay more to get Origi their own player back, Suarez has been linked with us and Gerrard is only leaving because he wasnt offered a new deal
