The Omega Man said:
Assem Allam and the council had a meeting to discuss the KC.
HCC said it wasn't for sale.

Why would any formal offer be made?

"In a brief statement released this afternoon, Cllr Brady said that, while ownership of the KC Stadium had been touched upon in talks with the club, it had "never been discussed in any great detail".

Allam turns up, says I will spend money in the area if you give me the KC for free and Brady says you are wasting your time the KC is not for sale, Allam walks out. Easy......end of!

What's this Fez a one man crusade.

Try reading the links.

No, I think quite a few are at odds on the truth of it, or, some are still seeking what has been out there for a long time and discussed endlessly on here. If you wished to insist on a thread being closed you might pick this one. :emoticon-0116-evilg

But to answer your question, I am curious why you quoted the part underlined, but you simply made a short and inaccurate statement (italics/bold) to describe the meeting, with no use of links to support your view. I presume you refer (in your last post to me, to links posted by others, including me? If that is so, might it not have been far more accurate to say:

Allam turns up, says I will spend money in the area if you give me the KC for free but I will not be specific in what my plans are and what I will spend that money on, oh, and no you can't have a copy of these detailed plans as they cost £3000 and they are my property, even though they will change numerous times during this (3hr) meeting, and then Brady says you are wasting your time the KC is not going to be given away and we can't discuss a sale without specific plans for its future that we can study outside of this meeting., Allam walks out. Easy......end of!

Now that's maybe a figment of my imagination, but it seems to more closely follow what is reported and not refuted (by Allam) in the links.

If getting to the truth of this should be called a crusade then I would think it is, yes. :emoticon-0148-yes:

You seem to be making heavy weather of it. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Oh, sorry, I forgot, you don't like or approve of folk responding to your daft posts do you. <laugh>
Such a silly ****.

Its not for sale. Cant you understand that. Even your mate Obi keeps putting "joint venture" now. Get it. Its not for sale. TG has said it enough times. ITS not for sale. Joint venture.
No businessman wants a joint venture with this council.

You're still at it I see, okay, let's keep going with your pathetic insults and stupid argument.

Show me where I have said it is for sale?

Show me where I have disagreed that at some time a joint venture was mentioned?

Try and put the various statements by the club and HCC into chronological order and tell me I have said something that is incorrect?

Look back at the statement made by Brady (the one I quoted from Sept 2014) and tell me where the stadium being for sale is mentioned? Brady doesn't mention it, he says it was not really discuused, no offer was made. He does say that Allam wanted it for free - THAT IS NOT A SALE, it's a gift. Allam made some remarks about investing money in developments, developments he could/would not be precise about - this was not a purchase price as he did not wish to or discuss buying the stadium.

Allam. in his statement, did say the club is for sale. :emoticon-0148-yes: You do understand the difference, don't you?

Some time after the period that was being discussed, HCC did say they were prepared to sit down with Assem Allam and listen to what he had to propose, but, by then, I belive they were exasperated with his behaviousr and had limited their options to joint-venture. A different argument altogether to the one you was having with me.

If there have been statements to alter the situation that I was discussing then fine, as I was not discussing that - but for the sake of clarity, I assume you can back up your claims, or perhaps, you might apologise for your insult - second thoughts forget that, previous tells me you don't, do you?
