I said he could get his money back if we are relegated if he wanted it back. He makes a profit from the sale of our squad, the parachute payments, reducing the players wages and accepting like every other championship club that he needs to break even because of the fair play rules.

I'm surprised you think that waiting more than 10 years for a man in his seventies is quickly.

If we stay in the premier league for 10 years then he stands a much better chance of getting his money back in 10 years. He depends on whether he or his family want it back.

Only you think I've worded it like he's some sort of chancer. He's a hard headed businessman that invested in the squad to get us promoted and then used the Premier league money to try and keep us there. He's the one that repaid some of his loans when he got there.

The figures come from the published club accounts.

Are you thick? For the third time; YOU SAID HE BOUGHT THE CLUB FOR A FEW QUID AND YOU MADE NO MENTION OF THE DEBT!!!!

This is like pulling teeth.

As for me being the only one who challenges you distortion of the facts, read the thread again.

I think everyone's given up on pulling up Obi's lies distortion of facts. I'm as anti Allam and anti name change as most but even I get fed up of his drivel.

The best was when he claimed Allam was forcing HCC to shut down offices and libraries, almost as if HCC hadn't just had their budget slashed.

Yes I'm thick.

He bought the debt for a pound. He then transferred the debt from the banks and other creditors to himself and Allamhouse. He then put in another £30 million into the club. The debt went up to £72 million on which he charged 5% per annum interest. Its now down to £67 million and could well fall further this year. He controls all the income that comes into the club and decides how much and when it is repaid.

Just to make it absolutely clear to you. I'm pleased he's lent us the money. I will be over the moon if his debt is repaid as it will mean Hull City will be in a stronger financial position then it is now. Not least it will mean we won't be paying millions in interest payments to Allamhouse.

I will dance a jig if he makes £100 million profit when he sells it, because it means a club that was worthless is now worth £100 million. He will have turned a basket case of a club into something somebody would want to pay millions for. For him to make that sort of money we will be a mid-table Premier League team, a win-win for all of us.

I have every confidence that when he sells it will be to a good home, especially if he is going to make a huge profit.

Is that clear?

Allam didn't force Hull City Council to close down anything. They took the opportunity of a break in the lease to stop paying for library and office space in the KC saving £90,000 a year. If there hadn't been the break in the lease they would have had to continue renting the space. Allam's outburst made the decision easier.

Perfectly, it's just a shame it's taken you that long to be semi-accurate and not miss out a shed load of relevant facts.

You can get drawn into all the accounting speak you like and I understand every word, but the bottom line will never change no matter how you spin it.

Assem Allam saved Hull City Football Club from oblivion. He did it with HUGE risk attached, as Adam Pearson stated. He did that because he wanted to pay back Hull for being his refuge for the last 50 years. At that time NOBODY else was willing to save us because it was simply not a sound business proposition. Since then lent the club a fortune to provide the fans with Premier League Football. He did that, nobody else, it was his money that paid for Bruce, it was his money that bought the players, it was his money that paid their salaries. He came across Gerraghty and Brady , who, when you read this messageboard are GREAT HEROES of Hull. They, as they do with with anyone who shows ambition or a desire to make peoples lives better, decided they would rather have a stadium that would remain a costly white elephant and an area that would remain a big tip, than allow him the freedom to develop a fantastic vision of prosperity for thousands. To add insult to the rebuff, Gerraghty even claimed all Allam wanted was to make money out of the Council, this about a man that had GIVEN millions and millions to good causes in the City and continues to do so. How insulting can you get.

I am not saying Assem Allam is perfect; he's an old man, used to getting his own way and he says things that he doesn't mean. For me actions speak louder than words and prosperity and success mean more than clinging on to a name that far from being rich in culture, history and tradition, I associate with decades of failure, missed opportunities, and average crowds of 3,500.
So keep the bile and vitriol flowing, I'm sure there'll be a massive queue of wealthy owners waiting to buy him out and take the Club on to bigger and better things despite the fact there are no tangible assets whatsoever and the fact that any owner will have to deal with a local authority that has made it's raison d'etre to keep the people of Hull well clear of success.

Okay then, please tell me which football club owners GIVE their clubs they own their money?

I say again his gift to us was, as he said, to save the club from ruin and to secure it's future. If anyone thought that he meant he would simply give us close on £100m then they are as stupid as you.

Dave Whelan and Steve Gibson.

But again I've never heard a owner proclaiming they've bought a club as a gift.

Like I said I've no problem with him earning interest on his loans, it's very sad that he has to lie about it.

Really. How do you explain the fact Middlesbrough are £75m in debt to Gibson's holding company Gibson-O’Neill Company Limited? And that Wigan's accounts for 2013 showed the club owed Dave Whelan £20.7m??

Thats obtuse in the extreme. Is it deliberate?

So we both agree he lent us over £70 million and that the loans are starting to be repaid. We just disagree on how much he paid for the shares.

Off topic, but I was here at the time.

The dog has just done a dirty disgusting ****ty fart.

The Mrs shouted after him as he scurried off "Get out you stinking bastard, you're not ****ing human"

No **** Mrs.

According to a member of my family who works for HCC, the Allams never seriously opened any negotiaitions on the stadium/land development.

Which is exactly what the HCC have always said and what the other party has lied about. :emoticon-0148-yes:

I'll not bother with the rest as this single sentence makes anything else worthless. :emoticon-0114-dull:

How have they lied? They went for a meeting about the stadium. If they asked for it for nowt its still an offer. No lies there.
No lies in Geraghtys statements either. "Its not for sale at any price".
The "joint venture" then is make me a director of it and you put all the money in and the council keep the stadium.

As Allams such a **** businessman he walked away. Luckily that deal is still on the table and businessmen the world over have been hammering at the council door trying to get in on it for the past 3 years. Oh wait......
