Is he?

Or is LvG correct in the fact the number of games is counter productive?

We all know the correct answer to that one.

Its been said many times over the years, but its a tradition the authorities are not going to change, so he should just keep schtum like other managers in the prem.

Who are these 'other' managers? Most have at some point expressed their desire for a winter break.

The fact is, SKY and other TV companies would lose out and thus they don't want a break. There would be little to no football on at that time but the national team and clubs would benefit from it.

They also benefit from the Sky money and just get on with it, LVG should take note.<ok>

He did. By closing the gap on Chelsea by a point, getting to the 4th round of the FA Cup and remaining unbeaten during the period.

He just expressed his opinion, like many others before him, that it's a bit mad.

uir..i already said mourinho was on record about how great it was....

you are not wrong that most secretly hate it but the fact is van gaal made the stick to get beaten with. this is like the gobshite 2 years ago who said the fa cup was a headache he could do without and got fined for it.. who was that? You just grin and bear it...

not all the toasting of happy christmas in the world with the hacks will stop them serving you up and a platter old son.

by a point <laugh>

2 away draws and cheslea f up badly and no van gaal's the one who's done the business.

congrats to utd for doing the same as lfc mind...

van Gaals pretty handy when it comes to handling the media. Don't be surprised to see him bring up Cruyff's sly little dig.

Well a point at spurs compared with Chelseas capitulation on top of a point at Stoke are pretty decent points.

We had a much tougher schedule than some sides anyway. 2 early kick offs in that time too with possibly the last amount of time I have known between two games before (43 hours).

And a point closer is a point closer. Not that it will matter in the long run though.

any point is a point gained.. so are you now admitting that you are not going to see a city and cheslea collapse.

you had 2 away games on the trot that was the worst part for you IMO

Ive never said City will. Only Chelsea. Month ago while everyone else was claiming they had already won the league.

Well that was just ****ing stupid.
I remember Robbie Savage claiming we were nailed on champions 20 minutes into our opening game.

My take was that if we could get past Christmas and New year at or less than 3 points FROM the top, then we have a great chance, as our run in in the second half is very favourable.
Just need to make sure we cut out our ****ty form from the last few games

Paddy Power paid out on Chelsea when they were about eight points clear too <laugh>

You were looking like champions, as well as getting results. Since then Mourinho has had a [HASHTAG]#meltdown[/HASHTAG], going on about campaigns and whinging about every single ref, plus your defence has been broken by Spurs FFS which means any team can now fancy their chances.

It will be close but I think Man City will edge it if I have to choose. I said at the start that Mourinho's defensive anti-football would be the main threat to you winning the title, and based on your refusal to kill off games despite having all the talent to do so suggests I was right.

i don't think any team will fancy it and i am will to put anyone on the spot with a bet chelsea will bounce back winning their next few league games

Shame the facts don't, given that Chelsea are the leagues joint highest scorers with 44 goals - same as City.
