Step is about a yard so 1760 a mile, 10K steps for me is around 5.5 to 6 miles, for a pigeon it would be not quite so far!!!
A good omen happened last night. I gave my brother some Watford dart flights for Xmas - he used them for the first time last night and won our League's Captain's cup. Our team has not won anything in the 15 years we've been in existence. Hopefully it's a sign!
Well that was a difficult French lesson. Our tutor asked us to imagine that we were filling in an application for a dating agency. Describe yourself, then say what sort of personal and physical attributes you are seeking in the person you are hoping to meet. The actual use of the language was not the difficult part. Sitting next to Mme could produce a few difficult days though, as my description suggested that I might not have noticed I described someone rather different to her. I am explaining that it was an exercise in imagination.
Morning all. A cool day is predicted today. The temperature is only going to reach 20C after a few days at 30C. It will be a bit of a relief but we won't be going to the beach as we have over the last few days. I have to go to work tomorrow but on Friday we are off camping at a little bay on the peninsula, which should be good. The weather will be better then too. I'll have to wait till Monday before I can find out the Huddersfield result. As always, I will read through the match thread from the start to get some idea of how the game evolved and feel a little of the jubilation when a post tells me we have scored, and despair when they score. Sad isn't it!
An interesting line up for the U21 cup game tonight. HORNETS: Gilmartin (GK); Young, Savic, Doherty; Mensah, Murray (c), Byers, O'Nien, Martin; Ranegie, Fabbrini. Subs: Ammann (GK), Rowan, Otudeko, Lewis, Folivi.
Murray shoots, ball comes back off the post and Mensah bundles it in for a three goal lead. (23 mins)
Every time Watford attack it looks as if they could score. Leeds have a good record at this level, but not tonight.
