rwaeb, I saw that too but if you read it again it makes sense. "Burnley and Spurs are heading for a replay at Turf Moor" is the same as saying "At Turf Moor Burnley and Spurs are heading for a replay."

Hope this doesn't rain on our players' spirits after
Pretty confusing way of phrasing it, standards have clearly slipped at the Beeb since the move North.

Thanks, Thor, for interpreting that for me. Standards for written English have plunged in the wired age. No one has the patience to craft words which will be obsolete tomorrow. No one has the money to, either, since hardly anyone pays anything for reading material anymore. The New Yorker used to have nothing but well-worked sentences. Now there are typos and the kind of sloppy writing that makes me think of term papers. It's sad.

This game had let down written all over it: a cold Monday night in Burnley after a big win over Chelsea on New Year's. I can't decide if this is one cup too many, or if keeping the undefeated run going is valuable.

Was disappointed that there wasn't a single stream for the game, yet I could have watched a game between two teams in a country in Eastern Europe I can't say I'd heard of.

From the amazing BBC Highlights it looks as though we didn't miss a great spectacle, though Chadli's goal was well taken, good pin-point cross from Davies.

Not ideal having to play an extra game but our squad is big and we're still in the cup, which is the most important thing for me. I'd really love to win some silverware this year, whether it's the Capital, FA or Europa.

The cup treble is still on. No complaints here, tough away trip on a cold monday night. Typical Spurs banana skin usually

Don't be so defeatist. You can still win the PL.

    The quadruple is on :emoticon-0171-star:<wizard>

Interesting FA Cup fixtures for us though. We should get past Burnley our 1962 final opponents and then Leicester we meet our 1961 final opponents, football does have its strange twists and turns.

SD we beat both Chelsea and City in the finals so who's scared? Also we beat the other two losing only to Coventry who knocked us out last season.

Pearce got off to a good start with them but then his management skills kicked in and they've been crap ever since. It's something like 3 wins in 20, or something now. It's a shame as I'd love to see Forest back in the PL but that dolt won't get you anywhere, reckon it might be worth getting Rosler in, he did a great job with Brentford and I thought he did alright at Wigan too, they certainly haven't done any better since they sacked him.

Don't worry about it, I enjoyed reading Pearce being referred to as a "dolt".
