Sorry, it's hard to resist bringing him into the conversation since they keep giving him time on the news and writing articles about him in the Guardian as the voice of 'the disaffected youth', even though his book is ******ed and he's no idea what he's talking about it.

That's also bullshit, most writers for the Guardian think he's a ****wit, along with 99% of the people that comment on that site.

I managed to get a brand new MacBook Air for about £650 - which was the best notebook available at that price (all things like battery life, SSD, build quality considered). I am converted now, to their notebooks at least - it's a sturdy wee bastard, no sign of wear or tear after about 9 months of fairly heavy use - and I average about one laptop a year (only because they break on me).

Anyway, back to the politics - there are 13 million iPhone owners in the UK, and every time they launch a new product there are midnight queues around the street - corporations like these are not the masters of the people, they are only so successful because they give the people exactly what they want.
Apple are to phones like Levis were to jeans ,when your nan and grandad started wearing 501's then they became unfashionable.
My mum plays Candy crush on her iphone they are no better than Android phones but people believe they are cool when they take it out on the bus or in a restaurant.

Pure bullshit, Apple make over 100% profit on their products and people are manipulated by clever advertising that they want/need one, + their software and apps are not cross-platform so thick relatives/friends get nagged into buying their products so the people that bought them feel a bit more justified for buying them.

iPhones are some of the worst phones available, the OS is shocking and the phones themselves are clunky and unreliable.

You're worse than some of the most mental tree-huggers out there, just on the other side of the scale.

Also, the 100% profit is after all manufacturing and marketing costs.

^^ wants to ignore people's freedom to choose their own products, because he knows better than them.

You may think iPhones are not well built, I disagree, I think they are very well built, but over-priced. In a free market we get to agree or disagree with our own money, that's the beauty of it.

Russell Brand jumps on the popular subjects and the *****s in the press give him time to his opinion. Because like, thats how we all fink init braaaaaaap.

He's a bit like Keith Vaz in that respect.

??

I didn't say ban them, I just picked up on the bullshit you posted before.

There are much better phones out there, and there always will be. Apple exploiting poor chinese people and making stupid people like you buy their stuff through constant media-bumming just makes me hate them even more <ok>

You're one of the sheeple Mick :(

His last appearance on Question Time was ****ing ridiculous, the man is a ****ing moron.

It's the BBC that think he's great.

You have a lot in common then not just the fact you both think you are political heavyweights yet neither of you bother to even vote.<laugh>

Only seen highlights but I watched his drugs documentary. Pretty standard ****. With the obvious exception being a ****ing ex junky ****** telling us that we should decriminalise drugs instead of a normal person with a functioning brain telling us the same thing.

Like I said. He's almost a carbon copy of Keith Vaz, the King of Cringe.

Yes, neither of us vote. I couldn't even tell you who the Prime Minister of the Isle of Man is (do they have a Prime Minister!?) - all I know is that if they introduce a law which really pisses me off I'll weigh up the options and may move somewhere else (and the Isle of Man Government know how mobile their population is). That's real Democracy for you (the democracy of the market) - you vote to take your business elsewhere, and you pick the Government which personally suits you.

I bet Mick thinks Brand is such a ****** he bought his book on Amazon to quote his ******ed views.
When Russel Brand used to work for MTV ages ago and went up to gurning ravers asking then obscure questions sporting a mullett he was very funny, some of his stand up is quite good also, Russel Kane is basically a watered down version and not funny at all..
Gervais get's a lot of **** now but watched his Science and Bafta host stuff today and he is very good in places.

Gervais gets a bad rap but I find him very funny at times, he's playing a character and some people don't get that.

I read a lot of ****e which I know beforehand I probably won't agree with - but even people you don't think you will agree with can make good points which surprise you and bring you back from the brink of zealotry to a more moderate position, even if you can't accept their entire philosophy. Russell Brand gave me **** all though.

So you bought his book?.
