Sorry, I'm still in the dark ages doing my internet horse and cart style on a laptop. I'm led to understand that this website is supposed to be much more phone and tablet friendly. I know Steelmonkey does most of his not606 posting on the move so when I see him logged in I will ask about this.
Whilst I was away in Japan recently my house in London was burgled. Amongst other things, they stole both my laptop and mp3 player, which means that I lost almost 10,000 songs. I have no music collection anymore! I think I've decided not to bother with that any more. I will only listen to my vinyl collection and Spotify when I'm on the computer. I don't really need to listen to music when I'm out and about anymore.
And they say in Jan it's the busiest time of year for relationship breakups... I have just mutually split with my on/off girlfriend so here is a song for anyone who is also going through the same thing right now...
Mate, that's a real shame. I'm so glad you still have your vinyl collection or most of it I hope. I recently gave about 90% of my CD collection to a charity shop. Compact disks are a almost dead medium now. Even if you go to say HMV now the CD section is a third of the size it was, they just sell c**p now. The other funny thing is vinyl is getting big again. Last year vinyl albums sold over a million for the 1st time since the late 80's. I love the sight of a good vinyl collection, for a music head nothing compares in my opinion. You can now also get all the new releases on vinyl again now. All my music collection is on my laptop or phone etc. Sorry to here that mate!
