This is, of course, the whole point. They hate the fact that we don't hate them i.e. we haven't ever taken them seriously as rivals and have a kind of condescending attitude towards them.

Exactly. Just how we feel a little annoyed that no one is taking our top 4 position seriously. "Well done, good for you, but the big boys are here now"

I don't agree that some Bournemouth fans should feel like that, but I think in the competitive world of sport a dislike seems more respectful than a well done tap on the head

Really struggling to think what team he will go with and what formation. Think Davis and Pelle could do with a break, but without Gallagher we have no alternative for the latter.
So i'm going to guess Pelle & Long as a front two with JWP behind them. Reed & Schneiderlin in central midfield and a back four of Targett, Gardos, Fonte & McCarthy.
Forster to remain in goal

Bench: Davis, Alderweireld, Wanyama, Bertrand, Davis, Isgrove, Seager

I still remember when we played them last (League 1) and they did a mini-special on the "derby" on the Football League Show. They interviewed a bunch of gobby Bournemouth fans and then a bunch of Saints fans who couldn't have been more indifferent if they had tried. It was really amusing. And of course we put them in their place

I honestly don't understand - everyone's banging on about "the Magic of the cup", and there's only been one bloody game on all weekend!

Sat in the Old Farmhouse
Everyone says that every game is tough (whilst inside thinking walk over), but this is a tough game. We should win, but then we should have beaten Sheffield United. Ipswich could be PL next season...deserve total respect.
Fully agree Fran. Ipswich are a good side and we will need to play well.

And they are probably better than some of the PL sides we have struggled to beat this season; WBA, Leicester, Burnley spring to mind.
