They keep feeding him rope and he keeps grabbing it. These complaints are clearly justified but need to be hammered out through back channels not out in front through the media.
IMO there has been an escalation of adverse decisions against us since Monk's original outburst - I may be wrong but that's my impression. Although other clubs are also experiencing a profound decline in the quality and consistency in officiating; we seem to be getting the brunt of the negative edge. I have to believe that a quorum of clubs operating through the Premiere League to the body that governs match officials can have a much greater impact and re-calibration of the situation than Monk becoming a Lone Ranger without Tonto to cover his back. It's to the benefit of the league, clubs and players to get this sorted out and fast. It's dragging the "game into disrepute" and making a mockery of English game .... is it also this bad in other leagues (e.g. La Liga) or are we just unique in its severity.
The officials also have a vested interest in sorting out their problem .... what international competition, after seeing the decisions made this week, is going to seek the services of English officials. None!
