They keep feeding him rope and he keeps grabbing it. These complaints are clearly justified but need to be hammered out through back channels not out in front through the media.

IMO there has been an escalation of adverse decisions against us since Monk's original outburst - I may be wrong but that's my impression. Although other clubs are also experiencing a profound decline in the quality and consistency in officiating; we seem to be getting the brunt of the negative edge. I have to believe that a quorum of clubs operating through the Premiere League to the body that governs match officials can have a much greater impact and re-calibration of the situation than Monk becoming a Lone Ranger without Tonto to cover his back. It's to the benefit of the league, clubs and players to get this sorted out and fast. It's dragging the "game into disrepute" and making a mockery of English game .... is it also this bad in other leagues (e.g. La Liga) or are we just unique in its severity.

The officials also have a vested interest in sorting out their problem .... what international competition, after seeing the decisions made this week, is going to seek the services of English officials. None!
 
Monk would i think have the backing of most jacks if he just came out and blew his top with the bent gits ! i like the idea of the ref league table to show how bad they really are compared to rest of europe.

Monk is spot on playing gomis if bony is going at the end of the week. gomis needs game time and that the reality. We could have done with shelvey today with his fire power as we missed his input he can give in any game.

Agree Dai, Gomis does need some game time, this was a game were he could have filled his boots with the chances he had. This I think will come, as he did get into some good positions. He'll play against Tranmere where I do expect him to find the onion bag and get some valuable confidence.
 
I am hoping gomis will start hitting the target soon and he can only achieve that by playing. fans forget that bony went through the same thing when he started. Bony is a big player to replace and gomis must not try and emulate him but play his own game and that way he will get back to his best as now he knows that from today he is the No1 striker and that alone could well spur him on.
 
Teams are certainly getting to know how to play us,with their pressing tactics giving us no time on the ball (albeit by foul or fair means),negating our wing play,and our full backs reluctant to overlap.
Contrary to some other views,I feel that Bony should have played from the start,and by doing so we would probably have won the game.
The officials were very poor again,but we keep on saying this every match. Now we face being without another of our players,Routledge being sent off for retaliation after the real culprit of the potential leg breaking tackle gets only a yellow card.
The few hours leading up to the match were spent in a local pub called "Balushi's",after finding the usual haunts the Kiwi pub "The Walkabout" closed and boarded up,and Wetherspoon's "The Central Bar" in the Vue complex blocked for away supporters by two big foreign sounding bouncers..
The ancient and decrepit QPR ground is the worst in the PL,and the access and squashed seating in the upper stand is a big safety issue. It took 15 mins to get out of there at the end,and if there was a fire we'd have had no chance.

Dai Gomis is simply not a big goal scorer. I would rather see Emnes up top than him. Look at Gomis' record and in terms of goals it is not impressive.

I have read through all of this and believe we have to be a bit realistic, Yes the Refereeing desicions have been piss poor. But, we have played poorly for our last 4 or 5 games and only the Spurs loss can i think that we looked like a good side. We got lucky against Villa (who should have got at least a point) and Hull and got what we deserved at WestHam and liverpool where he was totally out thought and had no idea how to respond. I am starting to worry at some of the desicions that Gm makes and feel his inexperience is showing through. His team selections are baffling, to leave Bony out yesterday was a joke, Don't give me all Gomis needs games nonsense, he has had 18 other league games plus cup games to give him game time if it was that important but has chosen to use him sparingly, coupled with the Tranmere game coming up. GM neds to start looking at himself, the performances of the team he puts on the pitch and not blaming anyone else for poor results. I can't help but think that we seem to be going back to a side with absolutely no fight in us when we go on the road and the last few performances are no different from those at the end of ML reign.

GM time to get working and get some fight and effort back in our side.

I have no doubt that Huw and the board will be very concerned about the style of play against QPR, Villa, Hull and Liverpool. Monk can say that we were "fantastic" all he wants to the media, but in the eyes of the majority of Swansea fans, who know what we're used to seeing, we've been shocking. The writing has been on the wall all season, for instance, we all knew we were extremely lucky to win against Burnley in our first home game. We were completely outplayed in the second half, and if we played that game again today, they'd beat us. We've fluctuated inconsistently between sublime and ridiculous all season.

However, we are not in trouble like we were last season and I do not think a change in manager is necessary at this moment. But, as I said around this time of year with Laudrup, if we begin to flirt with relegation, I may have to change my opinion. Our points buffer of 12 points should be enough to keep us comfortable all season though.

Thoughts on yesterday? Gomis looks a good player! Holds the ball up neatly, and with some game time he will put those shots away. The commentators kept saying that he doesn't have a good shot, I disagree! He hit most of his shots hard and true, just wide. With some games under his belt, those shots will hit the target once again. Generally, for the last 8 seasons or so, he's scored 10 or more goals, with an average of just under 15 goals for the last 3 seasons. He's got goals in him, and we'll get them out of him soon.

Dyer and Routledge, both still woeful. Can't cross, can't beat a man. Get Barrow in as soon as he's recovered from illness, Emnes on the other side. Routledge and Dyer need a run in the reserves/U21s to get some form back. They are hurting us in the Premier League and we can't afford to play them and wait for them to get some form.

I never expect anything from QPR. Unless you can get a lead, it's hard to play football there. The pitch is tiny, the crowd is on top of you, QPR pressed hard, it's a tough place to play football. Nevertheless, we created chances despite that, mainly through Gylfi's quick feet and Gomis' strong hold up.

Refereeing decisions... The Green decision is unbelievable. It changes the game immediately and we probably go on to win. Routledge could have appealed harder, completely within his rights, but the fact remains that he shouldn't have had to appeal for it to be given. The ref is there to make decisions, not react to players' appeals. The sending off is a joke. I counted 4 bookable fouls from Barton before he was booked. QPR gave away around 20 fouls to our 5. So what can the referee expect? Our players aren't being protected by the referee as he's letting them all get away with fouls without bookings... Then, after two bad challenges from Henry in a row, Routledge gets a little angry and he sends our player off? Let me tell you, referee, if you don't protect players from consistent fouling, eventually the other team is going to get annoyed, that's just human nature. The referee didn't control the game in that respect and then got what he'd clearly been waiting for, an opportunity to send off one of our players.
 
In terms of the Rob Green foul can retrospective punishment occur there? The referee obviously didn't see it or he would have produced a ref card. Or is that type of action only taken in cases of violent incidents (by non-liverpool players)

From what I know, it can only be done for violent conduct. However, apart from being able to "Haha" at QPR like Nelson from The Simpsons, a retrospective red card for Green, even if allowed, wouldn't do us much good anyway. We're not exactly competing with QPR for league table positions, so we could actually do with QPR taking some points off teams around us.

BK I think Routledege walked as a result of the linesman, funny how one saw nearly nothing and the other didn't see a great save by Green even though it was a yard outside the box.
 
Linesman or Referee, Henry and Barton should both have already been in the book long before they eventually got their bookings. How the hell wasn't Barton booked when Gylfi skinned him and was getting ready to cross before being rugby tackled by Barton? Barton was actually booked for a very similar challenge later in the game as he brought down [I can't remember who] just before they entered the box. It's farcical that after the amount of fouls that QPR's midfield gave away that none of them were sent off.

It's almost like referees don't see it that other teams are dirty, just that skillful sides are pussies, so it's our own fault when we get bullied by a side being overly physical. I'm sick of it. You saw it with Hazard yesterday too. Absolutely chopped down numerous times by Spurs (who were a filthy side at the Liberty too), but because the referees think he's just being weak, they don't book or, sometimes, even give a foul. It's got to stop. If a player commits two bookable offences, for a skillful side or for a physical one, they should be sent off. It should not be different rules for different teams.

Dirty players seem to get given 2 or 3 chances before the referee steps in, as it's in that player's character to be dirty; but one of our players makes one poor challenge, they go into the book straight away as the referees notice that it's out of character and, therefore, apparently over the top. You see it every week - not just in Swansea games.

Time to introduce TMO (or 4th official having access to replays) with a tennis style maximum a team can request a review (2 per game) but the ref having access throughout.

As eel as us, the teams around the relegation zone should be concerned QPR got a point from a game they might have won none had the officials done their jobs.
 
The refereeing has been appalling this season, but lets not paper over the cracks in our very poor performances as of late. GM needs to start earning his money and get us playing again and along with showing a bit of effort and fight.
 
Can't understand why some say we were appalling, not only is utter bollox but it is incorrect too. Just what are people expecting from us? play like Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal. Get real for fekk sake?

In the real world, where we play football, Swansea City AFC is a small, mid-table, prem league club, who on our day are capable of competing with and occasionally beating, the big boys, we're not Barcafekkinlona? The last four games we've played to our ability earning 7 points out of a possible 12 and we are in 9th place in the prem. Yesterday we fought hard for our point, agree, we didn't look like a top four side because we're not a top four side. We battled adverse conditions, a tough team and pathetically bias officials, got a man sent off and still came out with a point, we got what we deserved and didn't lose the game in spite of the bias officials.

I'm not much for conspiracy theories but there is no other explanation for SO MANY poor decisions against us. The number defies the law of averages and no longer can be put down to bullsh1t refereeing decisions of the worst kind made through basic mistakes by cnuts, oops officials being 'only human'. Its odd that each poor decision against us has potentially been a game changer against us; remember the number of poor decisions going against us defies the law of averages, it happens almost every game we play.

To explain this I fear that Psychologically within the realm of these protected officials exists a subliminal bias against us. We are being officially shafted too often for it to be explained any other way.
