tough one today, many players gave it their all! Carzola (MOM) Sanchez Szczesny *special mention to the Coq, Welb's & Oxo
It's hard to pick the three 'best' players from a display like that but it's certainly not any of the back 5. Sanchez Santi Oxo Those 3 names have been the only constant performers this season. Where would we be without the top 2?!
How can you have an Arsenal player as Man of the Match after that performance? I think most neutrals would plump for Victor Wanyama who was a giant in the midfield today as well as producing some amazing bits of trickery. The Southampton midfield with Davis and young Harrison Reed (being tracked, I believe, by Man Utd as a "new Paul Scholes") never lost control of the game. I think Arsenal were poor with the defence being pretty woeful and Chambers having no impact whatsoever having been moved in to defence. I think he is Ok as a back up in this position but doesn't offer enough in midfield.
This is a thread for us to keep track of the performance of Arsenal players as opposed to picking an individual man of the match from both teams. Read the OP to see how it works
Sanchez (MoM) Cazorla Coq I'll be updating the OP with the last few games soon, being ill and the festive period I haven't been bothered to tally it all up yet
