New format

There should be a little button towards the bottom left hand side of the page that says 'default' - you can change it to 'alternative' & the up-arrow should then appear on the bottom right hand side

Now I need to find a quick way to the very latest comment. I prefer to do that rather than go to 'first unread', could be days ago the way I use the forum. I only dip in to things, I don't want to read every word.

I have lost the red up arrow. Quite liked that feature. Anyone seen a red arrow flying by this afternoon?

 

I've seen it. But not today. I think you see it before you hear it?

 

That's because it's now a blue up and down arrow - it seems to only appear when you try to use the scroll bar.

 

Blue Arrows much better than solitary Red Arrow. Are they French?

 

I don't have a red or a blue arrow whatever I waggle up and down. Could I have a white one that I cannot see?

 

Check the rectangular button near the bottom left hand side of the page - if it says 'default', change it to 'alternative'...

 

If you click on "Alternative" in the lower left of screen you are given two options

"default style" gives you the largish red box with a white up arrow to go to top of page

The otheroption is "alternative". That does not have the red box but there is a tiny up arrow to the right of "Terms and Rules" at the bottom right of screen - that also takes yo to top of page

 

Aha! Found the arrow. BB is right about the scroll bar.
Now don't laugh, but I had barely noticed that the ipad has a scroll bar in Safari, because I just tend to swipe up or down anywhere on the page.

 

Alternative style when I scroll down give me a large blue and white up or down arrow. Default style which I prefer the look of, does not now give me the large red arrow taking me to the top of the page. It has vanished completely. There is a small arrow to the right of terms and rules, but no sign now of the large red one.

 

I'm on the Alternative style. I think it works and looks better on iPad.

 

Well it's called Grey Alternative now (is that a hair colour reference? ).

Went to have a look at Default again and the Blue Arrows are there now, too.

 

How very odd. The two arrows have switched around - I now get the red/white large orrow on "grey alternative" and the little arrow to the right of terms and rules (which turns red when you hover the mouse on it) on the default version. No blue arrows anywhere for me.

I run this on google chrome on a laptop -wonder if that is what determines the colours /style etc

 

Good to see the site cleaned up and removing that rep thing I think was a good idea ,as it did get out of hand.

I think that the default one is now what yesterday was the alternative one. I am also using Google on a laptop, and see the blue up and down arrows on the default side, but still no red arrow on the alternative grey side. The default side gives me a border each side of the messages and less threads per page, so I prefer the alternative one.

 

How strange - I am on grey alternative and have the white up arrow on a red background in the bottom right corner

 

On mine there are 20 threads per page on each style. Also I have now found the "blue" arrow (actually white on blue background ) but it only appears when you hover the mouse in the bottom corner
