Thought it was just me! He turns out he's the No. 2 goalkeeper at Fulham. Martin Jol says he may be willing to loan him out, but thinks enough of him not to sell him just for the sake of it and thinks he's got a good future ahead of him.

Nobodies spending £3m on him, he's a good young keeper, did a good job when stepping if for Schwarzer and has trained with the England setup. If he comes it will be on loan. Would be a good shout if nobody more expereinced is interested.

£3million !! .... Huw will have a coronary!....If we do sign up for this amount (surely a loan is more likely) , then let's make sure we re-sign him every year for more and more inflated wages when he demands them , just to ensure we dont make the same mistake as we did with Prately and let his contract wear down. Don't you agree ?

(Sarcasm is a bit hard on forums !)

i'd be in shock if we signed him, we could'nt afford to keep de vries and he's never played in the prem or been near his national side, this lad played in the prem, is on the verge of the england team and his highly rated, there's no way we could afford him.

he has played in the prem when Mark Schwarzer was out injured and I'm pretty sure he played well in the few games he played! But there are better keepers out there I'd like to see us make a move on Ben Foster or Rob Green I don't know whether we'd get them, but maybe they want to be in the prem again!

Stockdale is a good keeper and would do a good job for us. cant see him comming here as a number 2. he already has that at Fulham. If he is comming here it will be as number 1.

He's an excellent prospect and did well for Fulham when called to fill in for Schwarzer, happy if we get him. For the record Dorus was never going to stay on as he'd made up his mind months ago to move to Wolves. No wonder he was so coy when asked about his intentions after we won promotion.

He played against us when on loan at Plymouth. Made a couple of good saves in a 1-1 draw.

fulham will loan but not sell so i dont think we should bother, we need a first team committed goalkeeper who is on a 3 year contract that has premiership quality about him, £2-3 million is reasonable for a very important position in the team....

I can't see that happening realistically! If Jol has come out and said "I don't want to sell him, he has a bright future" he'll surely want to see the season in with Fulham, unless they are skint! Still, I'd expect unless it was a bid of 5mil or so, they would dismiss it out of hand.

hope so as he looks ok on paper, but reading their managers comments he dont want to sell him only give him premiership experience, ok if its our last resort but its not ideal,....if they wont let us buy him then IMHO we should look else where, we cant do favours for fulham as we must look after ourselves in our first season.....lets see what develops in the next few days but not to long as pre season is not that far away....

Would love to see him down the Liberty, I was very impressed with him when he got into the Fulham side last year.
