Nice one. I was going to ask you to post a few Warpaint tracks as I need educating. I struggled to get into the footy today after the sad news about the missing Jet.
That was the bike that forced a big change in the 'L' plate laws, you could ride a 250 on L plates until the Suzuki arrived capable of 100mph+ in the right conditions. What a machine, it even had electric start! What an era, the two most charismatic stars of motor sport were Barry Sheene and James Hunt, we'll never see their like again sadly...
Try this one pal, her voice is amazing on this - very haunting, and the lyrics are great too!! and a newer one
Have you seen the film Rush about Hunt v Lauda? It's brilliant - couldn't imagine Lewis Hamilton living that lifestyle!!
Yep, they just don't make them like they used too. I doubt it but did that bike have a restriction and need modding, or were they raw and ready to go (go get yourself into trouble..)?
I still have not seen this but now you have reminded me I will check out this week. I'm not back at work until the 5th. I have time to kill!
Yes, as you say a brilliant film. I remember the climax to that season well, Lauda was given the last rites after that crash and six weeks later was back racing, unbelievable bottle...
Cheers Steelmonkey, I already like Warpaint just having listened to your posts. Could you recommend any of their albums? I will download a couple!
Off the shelf and ready to lawbreak, it was madness in hindsight. You could pass your test and go out and buy a Kawasaki Z900 capable of 175mph and pretty unstable at that, it was nicknamed 'The Widowmaker', there were none of the hp regulations you have now...
enjoy your time off - I have the same holiday, and start a new job on 5th - hoping to not be on the road as much next year!ee Here's something raw for you - small band from Glasgow - excellent live
That's why I love this thread, I know this song and like it but never knew who they were. Thanks for that, our thread is the gift that keeps giving!
These boys are from Shepherds Bush/Ealing - don't know what team they follow, but there's only team to follow in the Bush....
I fancy some motorbike style music if you know what I mean after watching that Barry Sheene program...
