I hate the floating bar at the top - it gets in the way of the next unread post your trying to read. It's fine, but it shouldnt be covering up content on the page.
I liked it best in the fifties. All this modern stuff depresses me. Why do people have to change things?
I agree Godders, I liked it when the Internet was water-powered and you could ride your horse down to the pub without getting run over by a tram.
Yes I have had a few of those...I think Mick is having a play...I take it you will do the last one? Edit......Have deleted them all...as an experiment.....
No I think Mick is creating a cache on the server to deal with some of the other issues. He started it last night and obviously hasn't finished yet .
correct......Mick is rebuilding the cache and I understand it is very server intensive. He expected it to be finished by this morning but he advised it was still going at 12.45 much to his surprise.
Just a minor issue on AOL, it freezes now and then, an F5 restores it and after an AOL Whoops message, gets back to normal.
Looks like Mick's been busy overnight again. The annoying floating banner thingy has been glued into place, at the expense of the useful floating up-arrow. The arrow is now at the bottom of the screen next to the Terms and Rules header, so you have to go to the bottom of the screen to get to the top. Ho hum.
Still the issue of the banner covering a post at the top. For example, if I go to next unread post in a thread, I have to scroll down to be able to read the post. Rather than that post be at the top like it was previosuly. Edit: My floating banner appears to still be moving around?
