and yet the world and his mother knew that this ref was 100% not going to give sunderland nothing, if any doubt about the past games was in question ,this must ignite questions over his bias today.
Plenty of people admitting we were crap in the 2nd half. Their first goal was lucky but no way we should have gone on to lose 1-3 But you have got to admit that the Ref was absolute s**te, no ? Those decisions changed the game. Go into the 2nd half 2 or 3 goals up (assuming we would have scored the penalties), and Hull would have fallen apart. Hell, Hull could have been a player down for a deliberate hand ball in the box.
We were ****e but Marriner was worse as per usual. He's **** at his job, sack the ****. Why pass him on to some poor lower league teams? He shouldn't be allowed to ref a school game.
Vs Southampton... Andre Marriner sees a professional foul by Southampton keeper and ignores it to give Sunderland nothing. Sunderland heads drop second half realising this ref will give them nothing. Vs Hull last season. Sends off Cattermole for a trip. Nothing more, and a dive and roll from Elmo Vs Man City when Highes was in charge, sent Turner off for an "elbow" which every professional said he hit wrong then decided it was excessive force which can't beproven or disproven so he knew it'd be upheld. Today, I said before the game, Marriner was Hulls danger man. He was the only person I thought was capable of stopping us winning today. 2 blatant penalties within 5 minutes of each other completely ignored. A free kick which even he didn't appear to think was a foul until he saw the ball was falling Sunderland way and it'd stop us. He's a disgrace and should be investigated but he won't as they're untouchable
The next time mariner refs us the opposition just need to field a volleyball team - on the Hull board they are having a survey about who was their top 3 players and one of them has Mariner down as one of their best performers - one of the worst "referee's"(I use the term loosely) ever
Didn't watch it then? There's been people queuing up to knock the performance on the other thread. This isn't about that. It's about the performance of the officials. Do you want people to say they were mint?
I said that marriner should never ref' us again after the Southampton game and today proves it. He's a cheating bastard in my eyes. Plain and simple.
Why are we conceding goals in the north stand, it is strange and worrying how soft the goals have been. For the first time in years I am not looking forward to the rest of the season at home. Big money must be spent in January Gus, as that was the worst performance at the stadium of light and Hull are now another Villa a bogey team, we might beat Man c away on new years day but lose to Leeds 3 days later. and there were 3 hand balls by Hull, and feigning injury too much.
Lads lads lads, have another look. For the first hand ball shout, Bruce's arm is already up there, when your man attempts to play the ball back in, this is called ball to hand...Spot on referee For the next, Quinn simply protects his face from looking a lot like Steve Bruce's. If he doesn't take this action/reaction, the ball hits him in the face, and you take no advantage anyway...Spot on referee I haven't heard any of you complain about Cattermoles elbow antics ? That lads really going to hurt someone. I'm wishing you all a prosperous and healthy new year
Getting fed-up of posting about Marriner...he's got to be getting paid back-handers from someone.Nobody could be as bad at his job as cheating ,bent Marriner is at his!!
Just cause it's already up there doesn't make it any less handball. If you have your arms out in the penalty area and it strikes your arm it's hand ball. Had his arms been down then we'd have a debate. Ball to hand does not apply there. Fact. the second one his arms were further in and nowhere near his face. Cats were fouls, he didn't swing his elbow, they were just out, his eyes we on the ball, brady's elbow was a sending off. he swung his elbow following threw.
Now take your tongue out of your cheek. Can't argue about the end result but Marriner's non-decision's cost us dearly.
