Just finished watching ''Marvellous''--Story about Neil Baldwin- on BBC. If you missed it , I can recommend watching on i player. It shows a good side of some people in football and generally a very good story. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/writersroom/posts/Writing-the-Marvellous-life-story-of-Neil-Baldwin
I've recorded it when it was on a few months ago but haven't got round to watching it. Heard it's good though.
Only in America! Will they ever learn?... http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...ly-shoots-woman-in-idaho-walmart-9950847.html
For no reason, here's a photo of Steffen Freund dressed as Tinky Winky please log in to view this image
No. People buy guns to defend themselves against attackers, despite statistics showing any gun is far likelier to kill a member of the gun owner’s household than a bad guy. Americans aren’t really very good with guns. They buy them, the guns go off at more or less random intervals and directions, so the more time you spend near an American’s gun, the likelier you are to stop its bullet. We had a sitting vice president fill one of his hunting buddies with lead shortly after he helped make a federal case out of a sitting President’s marital infidelities. Well, it’s not like he shot somebody. I saw a great comment from someone that the Dick Cheney incident provided him with a marvelous opportunity to teach gun safety to his son. It was a perfect storm of what not to do with a loaded weapon, beginning with drinking, including losing track of hunting companions and finishing up with trying to shoot a low bird. Just remember: guns don’t kill people. People do. That two year old had every chance of killing his mother even if she hadn’t been carrying a gun in her purse.
Premier League Years.. 09/10 is starting on Sky Sports 1 now. One of the few seasons that had a happy ending for us.
Indeed. If they modified that claim to read "Guns don't kill people. People WITH guns do" it might have some credence.
It's next year where we are so happy new one to all our fellow Spurs supporters and we'd like to say that you've entertained us excellently in 2014.Keep the good analysis coming ok boys and we wish Spurs and all to do with the club all the very best.
When at work my workmates would refer to gun toting Americans as bomb-happy-bastards.I always thought this was harsh....but now, today,I quite agree with them. Killings, home invasions. My Lord! They gave out a total of American police officers killed on the job.Well over a hundred. How many killers executed?None. But they will be back on the streets in a few years. The officers families?.........
For me while it's sad to see what's happening overseas it's sadder to see what's happening in our own doormat called England. Nobody seems to care that a bomb plot was foiled to kill The Queen, an attack from ISIS is expected and Islam, that most backward, savage and misogynistic religion in all history is taking over our once varied country.
All abrahamic religions are misogynistic not just Islam, cause they came from a period in time when it was the norm. I don't think ISIS can carry out an attack in this country, as they are not a guerilla organisation (just need to worry about the odd nut job carrying out an attack in their name over here). Have to say I haven't heard about a plot to kill the Queen, but our security forces seem on top of anything with much organsiation needed. And Islam is not taking over the country, the media like to say that, but it is still a small proportion of the country. If anyone wants to make me subject to Sharia law, they will see an uprising alright! And I should also say that the vast majority of Muslims loathe what organisations like ISIS do in their name. The biggest enemy to ISIS are Sunni Muslims, not Christians/The west and that is why they will fail.
Nut jobs do atrosities in the name of religion, doesn't mean you should write the religion off like that. Wasn't that long ago some idiots planted bombs at abortion clinics. Blame the people, not what they claim to represent.
Can we keep anything political to the thread for that sort of thing, please? I'd move it myself, but I can't work out how on this new site! As for Islam killing children, I think that most of us can remember various Christian groups being the last supposedly religious organisations bombing the UK. Christianity wasn't to blame for that and Islam's not to blame for ISIS or the Taliban.
Darren Bent to Derby. Interesting signing by Steve McClaren, he obviously feels if Bent gets goals then it will help Derby's promotion push.
