I don't expect any owner to give the Trust free shares.
Swansea City have worked with their trust who now own 21% of the club. Swansea City are a successful Premier League team and could be an example to follow.
The shares will come from raising enough money to buy them if they are offered. A club working with a Supporters Trust may offer a minority shareholding to cement the relationship. There again they may not. Doesn't stop it being an aspiration for the Trust and it doesn't stop the work of the Trust if no shares are offered.
That's where any shares in the club will come from, unless we become a Public Limited Company and anyone can buy the shares, even the Trust.
